JDM is getting out of control

when i see parts, i don't care if its jdm, usdm, edm, aftermarket or whatever, if it looks good i'll get it. i personally like making parts or having one off pieces that no one else has. i could care less how much something weighs. ask me if i care how much each one of my wheels weigh or what my car runs in the quarter mile or how heavy my stereo is. i think its funny how people have jdm everything BUT right hand drive. some of the parts are silly, like the bumper poles, like you need that or the amber gauge clusters, any pontiac has that in their dashes. but don't get me wrong, i do like some of the parts, like the jdm metal door seals that say ''accord'' on them and the edm flat moldings...why, because i think they look better. later.

what i think would be cool is if the term JDM never existed and we just bought stuff cuz itz f'n sexy or functional or just plain our own taste but to go on egay and shell out mad cash to some dick importing shit for pennys perhaps and turning around and telling us that if we want to win car shows we need this stuff and shit like that, so in conclusion as my last post to this thread.... and im almost afraid to piss off deev with my opinion of JDM whoring and such so as to not step on any toes i think we should all see each other as equals on this board. its like i dont feel cool amoungst you guys cuz ill never be able to afford an H swap or JDM head lights or sprint hart cp r's etc etc. ya know **sigh**

damn i didnt know it was going to get this of response. i like it. i like the JDM stuff cuz its DIFFERENT. yea somethings dont serve a purpose but some do. look at the jdm armrest 90-91 we didnt have that in our cars in the US. but cuz of this JDm carze some have it. i love both scenes JDM and KITTED. long live both and like GLORDYACCORD says"DO WHAT YOU LIKE"

I want an amber gauge cluster, simply because I'm going for a Phantom Gray / Bronze / Amber look. But that's just my thing. I don't really want the cluster because it's JDM (hell, I wish it was USDM, it'd be cheaper!) but I want it for a purpose. THAT makes sense to me.

If you like JDM, get JDM. If you like aluminum wings and the cyborg graphic from the F&F Supra, then by all means... Hell, put a lift kit on your CB7, get some 11"x11" wheels, take off your bumpers, and put a shark fin on the roof. If you like it, I have more respect for you than if you have a BEAUTIFUL car that was built according to other people's preferences rather than your own. I swear, if I ever hear someone say "I painted it 350Z orange because other people say it's cool" I'll probably smack them!

indeed the 90-91 armrest came equipped in the u.s 91 se accord's it was not only a jdm option . as well as the 92-93 version

if you cant afford the jdm stuff youll bitch about it, thats what i see,just my opinion,i have three kids and a wife to deal with lol.but i still find deals on jdm parts, and i agree ill never do the bumper pole or the intersection lights,just not my taste, but more power to people who do like it.matter of fact i just sold both sets of my racing seats just so i could go back to stock,why.well because the stock seats are much more comfortable than aftermarket and im old lol.but as its been said many times"do what makes you happy"and if your not interested in doing jdm then why bitch about the price.lol.just my 2 cents.

I think the armrest was my most favorite feature I got when I sold my 90 and bought my 93.

its not because I cant personally afford it and probably the same with alot of other people... Its funny you have that attitude... Just like your ugly ass wheels just because there JDM there worth so much more... They are worth what people will pay for them and there not selling so they are not worth what you want.. Thats what I hate about Jdm parts the people selling it and how they tink people cant afford it because they dont want to pay for overpriced crap.. Dont speak for other people
