If you can, avoid purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster...
I bought 2 tickets to the Golden Corral 500 for this past Sunday 2 months in advance. I paid $240 for both tickets after all was said and done.
Sunday comes and guess what... it's raining. So we sit there in the grandstands for 3 hours and we decide, "they're going to call the race and reschedule it".
There's talk that they're going to reschedule the race for Monday (which happened btw). I have to be 5 hours away at work Monday morning bright and early.... and I would have lost more than the tickets cost to miss 1 day of work (12 hours at my pay rate, hotel room, food, gas, extra day for rental car, etc).
Anyways... they call the race and reschedule for Monday. On the back of the ticket it says if the event is rescheduled you can either go to the rescheduled event or exchange it for another event that is comparable in type and cost...
We try to call them up after they called the race and guess what... they're closed. We call them as soon as they open the next day (Monday) and they said "Since you didn't call the day of the event there's nothing we can do for you". I explained they were closed by the time NASCAR made a decision but again "Nothing we can do". Spoke to a manager, "Nothing we can do."
FUCK TICKETMASTER..... $240 down the drain. I had to listen to the race on the radio while at work.....
What was I supposed to do? Call as soon as it started raining? Shit then they would have been like "You have to wait till NASCAR makes a decision".
BULLSHIT
