I was loooking at LMU at one point in time. Good business program, beautiful campus and 3:1 girl to guy ratio. But tuition's $33,000 a year... And I hope you like religion, cuz it's required to take some of those classes.
Pepperdine is super nice too. On the hills of Malibu over looking the ocean. Good bus program as well. Religious school too. Girl to guy ratio isn't as good, but you do have Malibu... Tuition is also killer like LMU. (Just in case you wanted to know some other options)
My cousin went to Sonoma State, but he majored in Sociology. In the middle of no where, but nice and quiet.
I though about USF, just because their minumum GPA for transfers was 2.4 Good bus program there too.
I spent a summer in UCLA and that was pretty cool. Got to stay in the DeNeve dorms. (Free T1, free cable TV, free food at the commons) Girls are nice there
I spent a half of a quarter at UC Irvine (long story). Since I lived in the Asian Am House, it was always quiet, so it was kinda weird. But good school. Just recently opened up their school of business, so their program is still kind of up and coming.
I am now at Cal Poly Pomona as a Business major (Accounting). Let's just say I want to get my degree and leave ASAP.
There are so many options in CA with the UC's, the Cal State's and private schools.Last edited by XLR Azn; 03-19-2006, 06:27 PM.

anyways, my feeling is that im paying a lot of $$ to go to a private institution here on the east coast that i don't really enjoy nor like. I know, i could look into going to a better school, etc etc...but im looking for a change, a change of scenary, a change of life more importantly.
If i never leave my comfort bubble so to speak, then i'll never know what else is out there, and who knows i might end up the west coast for the rest of my life.Audi A4 2.8 Quattro Sport

Originally posted by arrozburnerive been driving here my whole life and havent had major problems with the popo as of yet...he's coming here for an education not to fix up his car...but its also a great place for that becasue the weather is great (no winter mode here and no rust) and there are plenty of places to buy parts for your car....i understand what youre trying to do ben and i applaud that...its going to be a change from what youre used too but apparently thats what you want and if i could help, just let me know. your best bet though before you decide where to go is to actually visit the campus but try to plan your trip to fit in as many colleges as possible
EDIT: yea i have thought about how clean a cb7 would be out there! haha, but by no means is this any kind of influence on any decision. the most important thing to me is my education and finding a new locations that suites me.Audi A4 2.8 Quattro Sport

I almost transfered out to USC this year, but I'm ending up at another damn college in TN . Guess that life...and Ben, I feel ya about the whole private university thing...my current tuition is like 34,000 a year and I hate the school, so why bother staying? I'd love to move out west, even if it's only for college...but instead I'm transferring back in to the mountains of east TN Good luck man.

one thing is that I fucked up my first semester, so i really have to buckle down and do better this semester, and it's not going so well.
but you should try to find a school that is transfer-friendly so u have a better chance to get in..
