i am wondering about those import shows as well, and the fact that almost all of the import magazines on the shelves feature cars from california and yet they are the most strict on mods and you see shit like this video all the time. no offense to anyone but fuck california laws and as usual, fuck cops florida for life! the only reason i would set foot out there is for the white girls...MMMmmmmm california girls might just be hotter than florida girls (obviously i couldn't help but to watch laguna beach and that has made me love california, but the car shit keeps me from it because i love modding my CB)

It's cool in CA... As long as you don't drive like a f*ckin' idiot, you won't get pulled over. Plain and simple. If you do get pulled over for "modified ***" in your car, you were probably attracting attention to your self. Even when I was pulled over, I was never asked to pop my hood or anything of that nature, even though my car is modified. A lot of cars are modified up the ass and prolly won't pass smog or BAR in CA. Just driving smart will decrease your chances of being pulled over... Unless the cops already know you on a first name basis

Chances are only brown nosers will make you pop your hood, Those guys who are trying to get brownie points/ where picked in high school/ makes them feel bigger. Most cops dont really give a shit, because they are into cars.

anyways i liked the video, it was very educational.

Also kinda funny, Gov taxes all the Companys, but the products they produce are illegal, Some of us pay taxes on parts, and then we get ticked for them. Wonderful world we live in.

it really does depend on where you live in california, for example where i live there are plenty of modded cars, so the cops don't really pull people over just to check for illegal mods. The perfect example of how it really depends on location is Super AutoBacs in stanton,ca where you see people start ripping it as soon as they pull out of the parking lot and sometimes people are even doing burnout in the parking lot at night and the cops don't really care what happens there anymore even though they could bust so many cars.

LOL, yea taxation is fun stuff...then you pay for tickets which is all for them...I love it. I wish I could buy stock in the gov't...

A lot of peeps do need to be taken off the street though. I dunno about all that intake/exhaust crap but cops should look for stuff that concerns SAFETY, like bald tires, bad suspension, faulty wiring, etc. The CARB sticker system is a JOKE...if a car can pass inspections then whatever parts are on it should be legal. It's just another way for the gov't to make money.

Maine is the same as Cali on car mod laws, but i've never had a problem with being pulled over, i know a few cops fairly well and as long as you respect them they wont bother you, the cheif of police in waldobuoro asked me one day when i was talking to him, " Your into Honda's i see." " yeah i am" " is your car modified" " no bolt ons if thats what u mean" " how much Horse Power from your 4 banger" " not enough for my standards " " well put some money into it boy, what are u waiting for!!!"...he doesn't give a shit about honda's, i went past him one day and did a light rev, and he reved his impala back to me sitting there with his radar, he pulls more trucks over them cars he tells me, he's sick of hearing truck exhausts...if you live in a large city area your bound to get nailed sometimes for nothing, in the woods where i live, phh cops dont give a shit bout anything, my friends got let off with a warning after doing 75 through a 40...but dont run em over, like some hick did, you will get charged for that....
