Freeware Photoshop Download???

I'm looking for a freeware photoshop like product out there. Just the basics not too insane. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I used picasa once about a year ago, and it didn't really have a lot of editing tools or coloring tools, and the effects could only be applyed to the whole pictures.

Did they update?
Is there more?

I use 7.0 and im pretty happy with it. But if your going to get really into making chops CS2 has added features.

You won't find anything nearly as good as photoshop for free... the best you can do is find a pirated copy of photoshop. Not that I condone anything like that...

picasa 2 is okay, i mean, its not photoshop, but for the general person, it can reduce red eye, crop, etc, which is all most people(i.e. my parents) would even bother with.
regardless, as for photoshop, try your regular downloading programs to get it for free, but not as freeware.

beware tho, all those have spyware, adware and who the fuck knows, just make sure you have a good virus/adware/spyware protection

I use it, it has litterally all of the same features and abilities as photoshop has, and its completely free.
