Thats right, I said it. GT2 is more fun than GT4. GT4 took realism to a level above fun. Discuss.

I hate the way the menu is set up in GT4, there's too much stuff. Also, I don't like the "director mode" and that crap. The graphics rock though, I love the realism. I liked how GT2 had a used car lot.
So the perfect GT game=
Great graphics
Simple menu
Used cars
Every car from every version, plus a CB7.
All upgrades for ANY car.
And I get royalities off the sales.-Jay

Gt4 is amazing, I took everything from Gt3 [which took me 3 years to almost complete] and housed Gt4 within 6 months. Once you learn how to drive, the racing isn't that hard, as long as you have a significant power advantage, though the formula gt isn't posing much of a problem either.
Moral - learn how to drive and it's amazing.

I got my ib license with pwrusr the day of my semi-rained-out DX part-out party When the rains got too heavy, and after it got dark, we sat and played GT4.
GT4 is decent, and the revival of the used car lots DEFINITELY make it better than GT3, IMO. However, something about GT2 was great. It was just more balanced... the realism was there, but you had enough of the not-so-real videogameness there to keep it fun. For example, I REALLY enjoyed getting an AE86 and drifting through as many courses as I could. I managed to win a number of races against cars with twice the power! That sort of unrealistic drifting just isn't possible in 4.
GT5 is rumored to have realistic damage. Now THAT will make it frustrating!
