yeah my grandpa decided to give up driving about two years ago. it was hella hard for him, but he knew his time was up. i'm glad he realized that his driving skills were gone. so many don't and this is the result. he also didn't want to end up like that old guy in Santa Monica that ran all those people over at the Farmer's market.

I hope you called the cops. They would write down who would be at fault in the accident, and even cite the driver for driving w/o insurance, etc.

If you dind't call the cops, then you're an idiot, since after any accident you should call them.

Damn thats messed up. Get it fixed yoru damage isnt that bad but you will definitely need a new drivers headlight and radiator support front end frame and hood. Im bout to do some body work on my eg6 project. Old people should definitely be taken off the road.

Here is my story:

I was getting off a long stretch bridge and I was headed for a big intersection. I was not driving fast. I was only going 25-30 mph. As I crossed the big intersection into a two lane street. There is a gas station to my right. I am on the right lane heading straight. As I look in front of me, I see a big ford explorer about 5 car lengths on the opposite side of me waiting to turn into the gas station. I'm thinkin "since he is only 5 car lengths he won't turn because he sees my car coming toward him." As I approach, Now i'm about 2 car lengths away..... still goin 25-30 mph. .... THIS OLD FART WITH THE EXPLORER DECIDED TO GO FOR IT... trying to turn into the gas station.... !!! !!!!!! SO i slam the brakes....!!! As I was holding on the brakes, I look around me and try to swirve around this asshole.... But no luck.... to my right there is a fairly young lady with a kid in a stroller.... Can't go there!!..... Then I look to my left a brand new Mercedes... So my last thought was to brace myself for the hit!!!! BOOOM!!!!!! "WTF!!!" I said. Also, my girlfriend was with me in the car.... I asked if she was OK... she replies and says "YES".. ... Then, I look at myself to see if i have any broken bones.... Everything seems to be ok .... I get out of my car and look at the asshole that I hit... .... I noticed that I hit him in the front right corner of his car. TURNS out ITS and OLD FART .... WITH really THICK ASS GLASSES..... and can't hear a thing...... And he doesn't have any INSURANCE AND LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started to flip out.... !!!!!! What the F********!!!!! *&%^&(^$)*(^%..!!! My girl tryin to hold me back .... told me he's not worth it....... look at him...... So then I decided to calm down......... (This is gettin too long... END HERES) Last Statement ---- OLD PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD ---- They should go to the transporation Bureau every year to get checked up .... ...

TO continue my story...

Called the cops and as usual they arrive an hour later.... when the police station is only 8 blocks away..... When they arrived, they spent a half hour tryin to get one sentence out of the old fart... So i spoke to the officer and he told me that I was not at fault and to get my car towed to a auto body shop. As for the old fart, they took him to the police station to find out who the hell he is. Also, I don;t have full coverage. So, My cb7 is no more.... I decided to sell the car with the engine to a good buddy of mine and sold it at a fair price... SO this is probably my last thread on this forum...... ........
Lastly, I'm talking to my lawyer about this situation and so far he told me we have a case.... ....

THINGs I've LEARNED FROM THIS >>>>

1) Stay away from old people when they drive!!!!!!!!!!!
2) DRIVE SAFE !
3) If your swapped, get full coverage. !
4) Sex does relieve stress...
5)Be happy with your CB7 while you still have it!!

i agree with you about elderly drivers and the "snowbirds" down in Fla. but don't forget the male SUV drivers who drive like they own the road. my grandmother has not driven in years

You never know, you might get the assholes whole retirement fund and his SSI
while he is serving his sentence.
