thats exactly my point. everyone has something to bitch about. its not just me. look in the off topic forum now. just the first page. how many 'whats going on' or 'lets do this' threads are there? ive been reading this forum for over a year now. i finally signed up to ask a question about neons, and i didn't even get flamed about that. now i probably would. why? because people here have gotten disrespectful and all high and mighty. in just a years time i've seen that change and people were btching about how the site has gone downhill at that time too.

when someone asks a question about theyre car and gets flamed because they dont know something that they "should" know things should be done.
when people send theyre money to others and dont get anything in return, something shoudl be done.
when people flame away in off topic and dont get warned or banned, something is wrong.

i don't mean to be disrespectful. i think the people in charge here are great. many of the members are great. its just that when someone says or does something that the majority doesnt like, they get attacked for it. why is that? do you have to defend your precious community from outsiders that come here with no knowledge? is there an iq requirement to be on this site? im sorry but i think some of those who have the biggest problems with others are the ones that should look at themselves first

When people flame in OT, they DO get banned. In fact, we've pretty much done away with the warning system (it didn't work too well) and we just ban. 1 day at a time, unless it's either REALLY bad, or a noticable repeat performance... then we go for a few days, a week, whatever... I would probably ban a few people in here actually. I'm not because I'm leaving this open to see what's going on. I really should've locked it when I saw it. I'm still curious though.... what made you post this?

About scammers....How many of them stick around after theyve scammed people?Not only that its always been warned that you buy at your own risk...choosing wisely as to who you buy from.Its a risk we all take when buying and sometimes we run into bad people.
It seems to me that in life there are always going to be more bad people than good.Thats why each and everyone of us that do have morals and feelings, need to always do whats right, being kind and honest.The good people are always going to be out numbered in my opinion.But if enough of us give our kind comments and sell things and buy things honestly.Hopefully others will see that and hopefully rethink the things they do..maybe catch on.

thats what im talking about. that sort of respect seems long gone from this site. maybe not totally but enough to chaneg the feel.

to answer your question deev... i just see all these threads saying "change this" around. i see all the "93lx is a scammer" and similar things in sigs. i see new members asking dumb questions in the tech forums and getting flamed for it before a mod links to another thread and locks it. there was a time when a new member was treated with respect as long as they showed it first. i dont see that now and it bothers me. thats all.

Well, we're taking steps to TRY to fix the scamming situation. I've been lazy there, and I apologize to everyone for that. Once I do that, I'm going to ask everyone with those sigs to remove the "scammer" stuff. It doesn't help them, and it DOES bring the feeling of this board down.

The noob flaming is, unfortunately, hard to fix. The mods do their best to "link and lock" so the noob gets their answer and doesn't get flamed... It's better here than on most boards, honestly. Still, it will happen. Someone having a bad day WILL occasionally stumble on a "where can i find an H22" thread and unload on the poor ignorant fool. Sometimes, I could almost agree... Still, we do our best to keep things under control.

actually if you read my first post i'm more irritated with the idiots who feel they have the need to bitch in the first place. yeah i know its strange that i chose to express that in the same way that i'm bitching about but still.

i don't really think this site needs that much. its th damn whiny memebers that are never satisfied that piss me off. i agree that this site is the best accord forum anywhere. however, people here just do whatever they want and the mods let it happen. the mods here are cool as hell and they really know theyre stuff, but thats not good enough it seems. people need to show some respect or the mods need to just start dealing out some bans!

What cracks me up is how a bunch of guys are starting to act like a bunch of women.

I'm a member on many forums, some I post in more than others. Anyhow, I could care less on all the drama in each forum, I go to each to pass the time by and perhaps learn something, to post or update my project threads, network with people that are truly knowledgeable and specialize in a certain area. I get the info I need and that's it. Why get involved in the drama at all? If you're about cars, stick to the subject and don't get off track and lost in the drama and lose focus on what most are really on here for...for information.

I don't usually post in these types of threads, for the reasons I mentioned above. When there is technical/performance talk I'm there. When there is this useless drama, I'm not (except for now because I just had the urge to).

Think about it, if anyone REALLY has a complaint or complaints on any subject, you go to the head person DIRECT to get something done about your issues/concerns. Posting a thread to whine/complain, is just to create drama and attract attention IMO.

In the end, people will keep doing this time and time again, but are they really looking for a solution? If days from now, nothing came of this thread's intentions, then it was a waste and just a rant with no backbone.

I thought I would never say this, but this forum is like the real world, there are just some things that you have no control over, not even the president.

The only thing mods and deev can really do is say that, if you read a thread and you totally disagree with and just want to rip the thread starter apart, then just leave and dont post.

some people do that, some dont. Thats life, some people walk away from a fight, others dont.

as far as the other things you said, I dont remember. But all i really have to say is that I love this site, I love the way it is.
