But yeah... MANY of the comments in this thread would normally result in a ban. Honestly, I hope the mod crew DOES crack down a bit on this sort of behavior. The only reason no bans were dealt because of this thread was because I didn't close it. I should have closed or deleted it as soon as I saw it, but I wanted to see where it was going. Honestly, a member that's been around for a year with only 13 posts blowing up IS a big deal. Someone that DOESN'T post many stupid questions (or many questions at all... he just READS) shouldn't feel the need to blow his top. Apparently Dani did.

It's amazing the shit that the members of this board get away with. If any of you are members of a cracked-down-no-balls-shown-serious-forum, you'll know what I'm talking about.

When the frontrunners of www.4g63hp.com decided to branch away from the old site that scammed us, we set down a very VERY strict rule base. All the members decided on what rules were tolerable and not nazi-like, but still kept the general direction of the board in tact. To date we've only had ~2 bans in a year, and maybe 5 infractions of the rules resulting in a warning (all to the same 2 rebellious members, mind you, and since, they've calmed down.)

Someone go read the rules of NABR. You can't even hotlink to their forums, they are so strict. I don't think any of the little boys on this forum are capable of following rules or showing respect to another member, if it came down to it. The mods and senior members REALLY do try, I get to hear all about it being a moderators chick and all, and I can't believe half of the shit I hear.

Unfortunately, this site grew from a small family to a very large community without much change in the structure. Steve didn't expect such growth, and I don't think any of the other mods did either. The old moderator crew wasn't nearly as coherent as our current staff. They were all very good in their own rights, but as a unit they were sloppy. This current staff is VERY strong, and there have been some good changes so far. We've taken a bit of a break regarding the restructuring of the forum lately, but we'll get back to it soon. We have to work pretty hard, but the rules need to be rewritten from the ground up. The mods need to all be on the same page when it comes to enforcing them. So far we're alright about it... but we can get better.

However, this site has ALWAYS relied on the respect we all have for one another. I've noticed one thing about the most serious of the CB7 tuners... the personalities are very similar. Those that REALLY care about their cars are those that also REALLY care about this site, as well as the community. The people that whine, complain, and flame are very often the same people that come on here asking "how can I get 200whp with $200?" Those that want something for nothing are those that expect a) things to get "better" according to their demands and b) people to listen to them because they're harsh, not because they are knowledgable.
Now, the truly sad thing about that last statement there is that I GUARANTEE that a number of the people that fall into that category are going to read it and have NO idea it pertains to them. In fact, they'll probably be too busy thinking about other members that it applies to. Hint: try looking critically at yourself first...
