racing harness installed????

    racing harness installed????

    can anyone please help me out--- i got a pair of racing seats- now i looking for some harness- how can i install them on a four door??? i know some harness have to be bolted onto the back seat right?? if anyone has any pictures on this, could you please post them up thanks. i still wanna use my back seats.

    you could install a roll cage . . . or find a harness bar that fits. other than that . . . dunno what to say.

      You want them bolted right behind you, at about sternum height.

        and you want it on seriously tight to where you cant move when its tight enough to a point hwere you cant move or lean forward for anything then its on right.

              All harnesses should be bolted directly behind you. not to a side and not up or down.

              If you bolt it into the floor like alot of people do, you run the risk of serious injury in the event your harness actually comes into play (i.e. a wreck, or sudden stop)

              So yeah, get a cage, or a harness bar, or if not those, some cars have the child safety hooks in the back window ledge, and you could hook it up to that, but I wouldn't consider that safe.

                thanks for the info. any pics on a four door??? i've seen harness being strap between the rear seats??? has anyone done that??? how??

                    That pic is a four door...

                    Just bolt it to where the rear seat belts bolt down...

                    Very dangerous in an accident and even worse in a rollover without a rollbar... and incredibly not DOT legal... you can be ticketed if you disconnect the stock belts...
