i'm working my way to become a honda tech, i've already got a start with a dealer here in maine to help me...dont leave man, i haven't read any of your post but dam man its not everyday people get to talk to tech for free,..i'm glad i found this post so i can learn from all your posts...i mean its the automotive world man, someone says they are right but they really aren't, and you the tech are their to correct em, thats why u went through honda training, thats why you spent hours of over time to learn Honda's....i can see where your coming from just from reading your top post...i have yet to experience your experience...but if u do go would this mean i would have anyone to go too for help while going through training besides the master tech, or other techs at the dealership???cause its always good to learn from a different point of view.....id be very interested in chating with you hours on end just on tech.... ..stay on the board!!!

I wish deever would make me a moderator, just in the technical section, so I could own some of these damn "assumption artists" because I've seen hella misinformation here as well.

These forums are going down the tubes, and if we (og's, if I may include myself for a second) do not become proactive, it will continue on its downward spiral.

Vote Luis for moderator in '06 yo!

there are and will alwayz be people that dont kno wat there doing and its people like you that come out and correct their mistakes so without u alot of people are going to get screwed by other people that dont kno what their talking about. for those who take upon your advice and dont listen its just their own fault if they mess up. just dont give up on those who would need your help in the future. also look at how many people dont want u to go and this is a NEW POST! also....if u leave i could get screwed by someone that doesnt know wat they are talking about and im still learning alot more bout the car i feel in love with at first sight THE CB7!!!!!!! and your in TEXAS!!

mrhonda, your opening first post in this thread is nearly word-for-word like GEN46L's from a few days ago. Has April 1 come early?

Not Much To Say , Because if you want to be done thats kewl , All I Came to say is Thank You , Atleast 3 Times ive talked to you and you saved me , a backyard mechanic , from giving up on his car , now she sits in the driveway running better than she has in ten years and because u told me exactly what was wrong with her 3 times already , main relay, igniter, and AIC, all of witch were messing my car up and making me very discouraged about my CB7 , But In all honesty Im here and my Car is still here with me Because of you , so i hope this is a little token of appreciation , from me anyways that what you do is not useless although sometimes it may seem that way.......

                Please Dont Leave ,

noxidea, i am almost tearry eyed. but yeah, i think it's good to show your appreciation. maybe that's most of what mrhonda needed. some reassurance that what he says doesn't go under the radar and that he has helped a bunch of us get through some tough pickles.

GROUP HUG PEOPLE, you know you ain't goin nowhere buddy! now sit down and tell me how to fix my car. NOW!

in all honesty... Swaps and OT is getting to be just as bad...

I feel this thread tho... and understand your sentiment mrhonda...

I prettymuch stick to performance and NA/All motor mainly...

There's alot of parroting going on in technicial... I see alot of people repeating things they have read or heard when attempting to diagnose problems...

The tech decline on the board makes me sad too... and while I have started to go elsewhere for my harcore tech... I always come back to see what's going on... but ti's starting to resemble the HT accord forum... which sucks... for tech it especially sucks... let's not turn this place into that...

but a little part of my CB7 soul dies everytime I come back and see the multiple exhaust threads asking which one looks and sounds the best justy milling around in the performance forum...

Stop it you fockers!!! read some shit and don't speak unless you have an original question or an idea, just plain can't find the answer or you are bumping an old thread with some new info...

and you old skool to seasoned members need to lay off the noobs when they bump old threaads... you did tell them to search after all...

and lay off the goddam whoring in tech threads please... have the convo in PM...

goddam... I guess I am a little more peeved than I thought I was...

wait till fizz gets here... you'll all be sorry...
                      bleh...

I always appreciated your input. You can lead a horse to water, but not make it drink. All you can do is give advice and if they want to follow it they will. I know you have helped many people on here, probably me included.

Look at the bright side. If they all choose to listen to the amateurs and mess up their cars, then we will be left with a genetically superior race of CB7's. LOL. It's like car Darwinism.

People will always give bad advice. This is what seperates the posers from the respected. In the end tho, you really should not care. Its not your car, or your problem. You may care a little too much, MrHonda. If someone tells me they have a problem, and they do not accept my solution, the hell with them. All I know, I been there and did it already. And soon they will understand.

In general, I think people care too damn much about some noobs underminding the experienced's advice. 9 times out of 10 the experienced will be right.

I registered here on CB7 for two reasons; One, I love these 4th gens to death...in my opinion these were the best damn cars Honda ever built. Two, I love working on cars so much, thats why I do it for a living. The gratification I get from fixing these cars and bringing them back to life (so to speak) is unmeasurable. So when I'm not at work, I like coming here to help all of you as much as I can to keep your cars running.

What pisses me off is all the missdiagnosing and bad advice I see people giving on here. What really gets me bent is whenever I step in and give my 2 cents on a problem, and other people undermind and discount my advice. I am a god damn Honda certified factory trained technician! I do this for a living, so trust me, I know what the fuck I'm talking about.

I just don't have the energy anymore to keep correcting everyone else's bad advice. It just seems like a loss cause. If you don't know what the hell you are talking about, don't post!!! I deal with enough hackery and fixing other peoples mistakes at work, so I don't like dealing with it here either.

I understand that there are differences in opinion now and then, thats fine. But most of my advice isn't simply an opinion, its fact based on personal experience and product knowledge. If my advice isn't appreciated, I guess I'll just step down and let the amateurs handle it.

Mrhonda i have read a couple of your replies while ive been here for my short time but have respected everything you have said just because i know that you have been there and seen just about everything that we are or have gone through with our cb7's. You are certified and most of the members that have been here long enought know that. I found out that you were certified by reading a thread and have respected your opinions and advise since then. I am a technician also but have not had the experience that you have and know what you are talking about. I rarely go into the tech section because of the aboved reasons mentioned. It really has gone down hill since i got here and ive only been here a couple of months. I chime in every once and awhile when i feel i have something to contribute but that isnt that often because most of the info is covered by old threads. But i just feel that you should stay and if any of us need help we know who to ask for advise. Also thanks for all of your knowledge that you have offered the board.
