I imagine it is too late for this, but you always have the option to buy the car back after they total it too. Even though it doesn't serve any value as a sellable car, the parts are still worth money, and if you stick with the same kind of car, you can even reuse most, if not all of the aftermarket stuff.

its an auto, but that's fine because this car will just be something to get me around in. all i plan to do is just tint the windows and put my system in there. got it for $3600 w/ 155k miles on the clock. my 91 had almost 290k on the body when it was totalled. i know i should have pulled head off of the old motor, but i just don't have time to mess with it anymore. if someone picked up this car from an auction, they would have a nice ride with plenty of goodies on it!
