Poor grammar, international seeming phone number, the extra-complicated way of doing things, and the sheer stupidity of trying to buy a car sight-unseen... Combine all that and it HAS to be a scam. If he's not based in the US, you'd have a very hard time recovering anything you lost if he scammed you.

You should get a PO box . Give him a PO box and a fake address in Camden (say it's at your 'shop'). Tell him to send the money to your box. Take it to a check cashing place, and get the hard cash in hand.

Just go to the post office and ask to rent a box. I think they charge monthly, and it's like $13 or something... cheap, if it'll get a few grand in your pocket for your car!

Definately a scam! My ex works at Bank Atlantic down here in fl and I heard alot of info and stories about these scams. The fucked up part is that the money will clear in your account but the bank will never get their money. It also happened to my brother when he was trying to sell his rims on dsmtuners.com and the scamm exact scam came thru with the story about shipping company and the bullshit phone #.

He stopped replying to my emails after i questioned him about the Number.
Its just sad how low people will go to give you bullshit troubles.

But i got a real buyer comming in Sunday, and theres another semi-interested comming through on Saturday. So lets see how this weekend goes.

I was kinda skeptical, thats why i posted this.
But i was like, if he were to send me the money, and i had it in my hands, then i didnt
care where the car went. But he went ahead and he sent me a Money Order
confirmation from the USPS saying that it was ready in the mail.
He then sent me another email saying to ship the car to Africa, i think Nigeria.
Thats when i was like get the fuck out of here.
Im not shipping shit until i get the money.
I went and called the US postal service and the number he gave me to
the Money Order was false. Thats when i pulled out of the deal and deleted all his emails.
I sent him an email questioning him, but i havent heard of him Since.
