We recently have determined that different computers have logged into your PayPal account, and multiple password failures were present before the login. One of our Customer Service employees has already tryed to telephonically reach you. As our employee did not manage to reach you, this email has been sent to your notice.
Therefore your account has been temporary suspended. We need you to confirm your identity in order to regain full privileges of your account.
If this is not completed by January 9, 2006, we reserve the right to terminate all privileges of your account indefinitly, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.
To confirm your identity please follow the link below:

Do not click on the link!!!!!!

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

    PayPal - Customer Service

Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is only a notification. Mail sent to this address cannot be answered.

Now see you guys are saying what is the big deal? Well for starters, why is it a big deal to paypal if you logged onto multiple pc's and get on your account? Second I have been home all day for the past week and I did not recieve any phone calls. If I had they would of left a message on my answering machine like any respected business who is trying to get in touch with you. So being suspucious before I click on the link I logged into my paypal account and what do you know? It works fine. Theres no message saying I have to verify my acount and get it unsuspended. I tell you this its fraud. This is what the fraud address looks like.

    Now the real Pay Pal.

Now another way to identify if its fraud is that hotmail does not put Pay Pal emails as "Junk Emails" and at the top of the email hotmail also puts The sender of this message, service@paypal.com, could not be verified by Sender ID. Learn more about Sender ID.

The real pay pal will not show up in your junk inbox it will show up as regular email.

As you can see there is a big difference in the address and heading. I just want to give you guys heads up and to keep your eye out on suspicious emails like this. Do not what so ever click on the link! I repeat do not at all. Contact Pay Pal ASAP like I did they will handle it for you and give you lots of steps to prevent shit like this. Also Pay Pal will never ever email you about Account Information!

If this is a repost well then I am sorry. I wanted to share this with you guys.

paypal never ever sends you emails about acct info... never EVER EVER follow a link that prompmts you to log into paypal or any other place...

at least open a new window and type the URL in yourself...

This isn't really a new thing... just a new twist on the same old scam...

I got one awhile back and kept entering all kinds of fucked up user names and passwords since I knew it was bullshit... then I got an eerily similar email... so I did the same thing...

I was sleepy one night a few years ago (back in my AOL days) and I gave my AOL name and password out... I realized it the instant I sent it! And it was confirmed when my account was closed because of porn spamming...

If I don't type the address directly into my browser for my sensitive websites (bank, credit card, mortgage, paypal) then I don't risk it. It's amazing how well they can disguise some of those phishing scams!

as for paypal, too - i get phishing emails that say "$3500 dollars was successfully trasferred to userxyz - if you want to dispute this, CLICK HERE" and the email looks EXACTLY like a normal payment sent reminder that paypal would send-- except paypal NEVER puts a link to "dispute"

so if you were to click "dispute" it gives you the paypal main page and prompts for your name and pwd - but notice the addy isn't Paypal.com/xxxx - its bullshit

if ever in doubt - go directly to paypal, (paypal.com) and log in - you'll see your real account

and they have links to report scams, too

            breathing is deadly underwater...

O.K. after reading Mista's comment, I feel like a tool. I got that one this morning also. I opened up the link at work and then immediately closed it. There's no problem with that right (no info entered)?
If any one knows of someone looking to buy a Mazda, Subaru, Audi or Porsche please drop me a line.
