    A Christmas Miracle!!

I ran into some luck this Christmas holiday by actaully getting the gift I wanted and needed so badly without anyone paying a cent for it. The story began when my cousin called me on Christmas eve to help him paint his bedroom. Normally I would have said no but agreed to help him because I was bored. While in the progress painting his room I looked out his window and saw something completely unexpected but nevertheless wondeful. It was 92-93 cb7 trunk lid just sitting on my cousin's neighbor fence. I got so worked up because I have failed finding one for sale locally and was scammed out of $60 on this board when I attempted to buy one from JDMCB3si. Anyways I necking my cousin to go ask if they are willing to give it up or willing to sell it. Unfortunately, there was no one home. My cousin siad that he woud ask his step dad to talk to his neighbor becauce the are friends.

Now today, I went to moms house for breakfast, then went back to my cousin's house to help him put together my smaller cousins gifts. We finished up around three then I went back to my moms house to watch Miami Heats wup the LA lakers in their christmas day matchup. After a nap I was called by my cousin to come get some dinner. I was already stuffed so I chilled for a bit and then went by to get my plate. I left my car running because I had to go meet my girl right after but for some reason my aunt didnt have my plate ready because my lazy cousin forgot to tell her. This in convenience happened to do me alot of good. My cousins step dad called me outside, and when i went I was introduced to the owner of the trunk lid, it was the neighbors son. I owned a black 93 cb7 with an H22 motor(i remember checking it out a couple ayears back when mine was completely stock). I asked him about the lid and he aid he didnt need it anymore because he sold his car. So I got a free trunk lid and also he offered to sell me his H22 with a completely rebuilt bottom end for only $1500.00!! I dont know what H22 goes for but it sounds like a great deal. The lid is white and there is no latch mechanism so i guess I have to switch all the lock stuff from my car to the next lid. I'm so fucking happy, its ridicolous!! I went thru alot shit trying to get JDMCB3si to ship mu lid for about 6-7weeks now but fuck him, he can keep the $60 that he scammed me and buy himself a gift. Ok, enough rambling but I jsut wanted to share my little christmas miracle!!

yes it is! I cant wait til tomorrow to get this shit sanded and primed fro paint. Now I can get a next but better paint job for $600.00. For those who dont know, a big ass tree fell on my car during Hurricane Katrina hence the intense need for a new trunk lid. I had a lot more dents and dings but I took care of those right after the hurricane. All I needed was a trunk lid and I know I have it and possibly a H22

I just finish installing the new trunk lid. That shit is not as easy as it looks. I messed up one of the screws putting it on by myself(dumb). I finally got it on straight enough and reconnected all the wires. I ran into one problem tho, I can pop mu trunk from inside the car but for some reason I cant open it with key. It just simply wont work. Any insight???

Bro before anyone flames you. You need to change out the lock from your previous trunk lid to your new one. Thats your problem. Your key won't fit the donor trunk lid. Well duh they use different keys lol.

LOL...I did change out the lock from my original trunk. The lid i got didnt come with a lock or latch mechanism. I'm not that stupid but anyways, I think the problem I'm having is where that metal rod connects from the lock itself to the latch. Its connected to the lock correctly but seems loose when connected to the latch. I'll check it out tomorrow when it warms ups ( low 50's right now ..lol)

i dont remember the exact name but there was like 2 sets of keys... one that would work everything.. doors, ignition, glovebox, the little thing on the floor for the trunk and gas cap, and the trunk it self, then a spare key would only work the doors and ignitions

I got what you are saying but I always used the same key for doors, trunk, etc. All I did was replace the trunk lid and tranferes the lock and latch from my lid to the new one. So its the same lock therefore the key should work. I now for sure its not key issue , I just need to know if I'm missing something becuase that metal is not popping the latch when I turn the key. I can hear it moving but the latch wont open.
