    i might get a cb7 again!!! but i have a few questions

so this morning around 6:45 am i get a call from my cousion. he says "gurinder, i got into an accident, can u please come here" so i get up and speed over to him. i get there and i see his cb7 on a tow truck backwards, radiator fluid all over the place and a light pole in the street. he says he fell asleep and hit the pole. the car was given to him by my uncle who said that if its going to cost more then 1500 i can have it. so my questions are.

    1. i know that it needs a bumper, hood, headlights bumper support, radiator, driver side mirror, and windshield. so how much should this all run me for both JDM and USDM setups?

    2. how can i tell if it is totalled or not? i am going to the body shop that its at and i will post pics later on today. thanks.

If you are wondering if it'll cost more than 1500 at a shop, yes it will.

For you to repair it all depends on what tools you have access to, and what connections you have. Just search on ebay for rough estimates for prices.

I fixed my car from a similar accident using 300 bucks. Only thing it lacked was a matching hood. But I got creative, and it wasnt perfect.

Sounds like the damage is going to be more than 1500...
More like a couple thousand bucks.
Luckly for me, i took my car to my uncle shop and it came out to $850.
                Came out good as new

But yeah, if you really want it that bad, just get a shop to weld you
a new Radiator support, then you can go from there on your own.
Put the car in teh back yard and fix it up little by little.

Its kinda hard to see, but it looks repairable.
I've seen cars in worse condition get fixed up looking nice.
MAKE SURE IT DOESNT HAVE FRAME DAMAGE!
If it doesnt, then i guess you can do what i posted up in my other post.

Go to a shop and have them weld a new Rad. Support.
From there, just keep the car in your backyard and work on it little by little.
One day you'll put the radiator, one day you'll put the headlights and bumper.
                      And so on...

yea i kno those are the pics taken w/ my phone. if i wake up early enough tom b4 work. how much do u think it will cost for a new rad support? i have another question. when it was at the scene, it was leaking engine oil like crazy, i tool a peek under the car and it was dripping from above the oil pan. if u look at the side with the drain plug the oil was dripping right above it. so can u guys give me some conclusions as to what can cause this? thanks in advance.

so i get a call from my uncle this morning saying that its going to cost 7-8000 bucks to fix it. he said that the guy at the shop said that the only way to repair it is the right way. i know where he is comming from and im going to pass on it. and my dad doesnot want me to have 2 cars anyways. so lets see maybe another one will come my way soon.

7-8k seems a bit high (ever heard of "big high" when you don't want to do a job?)... but I still wouldn't bother with it. Maybe if he is going to give it to you though I'd take it and scrap it. I got $400 or so when I scrapped my totalled Altima they said would cost $3k to fix.
