    i hate autos

was trying to fill the differential/coniverter fluid in the camry and the manual says to fill thru dipstick so i did.......but the level of the fucking fluid wont go down!!!!

i think i have to fill through the filler plug on the side of the diff., bullshit, the manual said to do it but the people on toyotanation says it is seperate, WTF!

i probably have to drain the whole thing now and waste more money on atf fluid. oh well, it is about time to change it anyways and the start of the tune up for the camry shall begin (smog test in may, have to replace hella shit)

although i was supposed to wait till after i put the engine in the accord.

When my old corolla used to be auto, the differential had its own housing, and needed to be drained/filled independently of the rest of the auto tranny (Aisin Warner A131L).

It's possible your camry could be the same way.

Hopefully you didn't drive long enough to seriously fuck anything in the ass. Make sure the diff and the rest of the case are filled properly, and test 'er out

if your under the car, and your facing the front, there should be a little cross member right under the firewall, reach your finger up there and on the back side of the tranny, there should be a 17 millimeter check plug, thats for your transaxle...

and one thing i always learned was when i filled the tranny and it was low i'd run it through the gears (stay in park but shift into drive wait a few seconds... reverse... wait... neutral... ect...)

You should know, tranny and transaxle mean the same thing in our case. Transaxle is the technical term for a housing that combines the transmission and final drive (differential) in FWD cars. Make sure you get this right or you'll be confusing alot of people that don't know.
