Good idea. I used to sell jordans on ebay (those are special editions for those of y'all in the know). I used to cake it, and I was only a 17 yr HS senior. But just to let you guys know, it is cut throat, and not as easy as it used to be. You might end up with a bunch of PS3s laying around.

2 Grand a week, and that was back in 2001!

edit: its a great idea, but you have to know how to use the "power" of ebay. xbox 360s are only going for like 600-800 now. And thats bundled with a few extras like controllers and games. Choose wisely how you will do this, because you can EASILY fail, and end up with a shit-load of PS3, and in debt.

also, I guarantee they have a limit as to how many you can buy (Jordans were 2 per customer, PS2 was only ONE per customer!!!)

Well one of the reasons that contributed to such hefty prices on e-bay was the fact that this is the holiday season. That means people are more willing to shell out whatever it would cost for that perfect Christmas present. I'm not sure of the timeframe of the PS3 release, but the consoles might not end up pulling another X-box 360 fiasco.

Just something to take into consideration.

No I meant the prices of the systems themselves at places like GameStop or any other chain..they'll be really expensive.

In turn how can you by more than one system when they cost near 500 dollars.

You buy two thats roughly 1 grand..I dont think anyone would be that dumb to by one on ebay for 1 grand.

im planning on saving up some money to invest...my dad said hed invest with his credit card...i dont see how you could loose money in the worst possible situation you would sell them for what you bought them for

I was doing some mindless thinking today and I thought about the xbox360 on ebay going for over 1 thousand dollars, so I was thinking when the ps3 comes out, I buy a whole bunch of them and sell them on ebay. Good idea, Yes, no, maybe so.

Do you not think that nobody has ever thought of this before? I mean, everyones heard about the prices that the 360's go for. And being the way people are, they can obviously see a dolllar can be made. So if you think that you have your own little secret plan to make "thousands" off of PS3's, more power to ya I guess.

dont feed me that shit...its the people who pay a grand for them on ebay that gouge the prices up...if you want one for retail price you can go reserve one like im going to do...and i dont think i have some special plan that no one else does, all i know is that i know how to play it right and i know that there is a pretty penny to be made

and you wont be able to preorder them until the release date is announced (which it hasn't been)... we'll be lucky if we get it here this time next year.
