pits are banned here in DC... to many attacks.
i remember one attack here that happen when i was very young. and the thing about it was my step father at the time (we always had Rocks and Germans) was about to buy on of his puppies.
it was a week before it happen, he ahd Puupys for Sale sign on his door, so we went to check them out. He had like 5-6 Pits (big ass yard)
4 were out side and the other 2 were in (females in heat).
he brought the biggest one out for us to see, this damn dog had to be the siz of a horse.... and its head was like the size of 2 adult human heads. he walked it down the street, told it to sit and left it there, was about 50 yards away....the master walked back to us and said watch this.......COME....
without paying attention to anything that was around the dog came street to him (us)....didnt run but walked calmly. my step father was like DAMN, we'll be back to get a pup....
the next week it was ll over the news.... 6 year old girl attacked by pits.... showed the house and everything, we were SHOCKED.
the girl lived next door was playing with a tennis ball, it rolled by the fence, the dogs went crazy cause they wanted the ball. the girl thinking it was safe went to get the ball, but the fence had a lil lift at the bottom of it, like where a dog would dig to try to get out. they got out thru that and attacked her, all 4 dogs. the house is on a main road so people were stopping and trying to fight the dogs off her but it wasnt kno use.
the master final came out and got them off then they tried to get at him.
the girl survived but was all tore up, Micheal Jackson even came to visit her while she was recovering.
i always wondered where shes at now, she would be 3-4 years younger then me now.
just a month ago on the news i heard 2 pits attacked to kids selling stuff door to door. owner opened the door and they ran out and attacked them. owner tried to get them off, shit......... they turned around and attacked him, bit 2 of his fingers off.
I've had rocks all my life so far, and i think those are the only big dogs i would stay with, dont ahve none now cause i dont feel safe with big dogs...have small children and it doesnt matter how train your dog is....the one time when the kid is messing with the dog, and he's gettn annoyed... he might snap.
so now....... i have a maltese......lol even my kids can kick his ass.....LOL.
People look at me like..... why the hell that big ass fuck ( i work out heavy) walking around with that lil ass dog...lol
