As long as the investment doesn't break you. There is a term called "house broke" where you don't have any money because it's all tied up in your house.

I understand why most people say renting is wasting money but to me, the money I'm saving is good for now. I'll buy when I hit the 50k a year mark.

ahhh yes i love bills.. i'm probably gonna get a room mate come the spring coz i'm tempted to buy a new bike and save for a house or something in the future.

my credit is decent.. i've been paying ALL of my bills on time for the past 2 years since i have lived on my own. i've had about 4 or 5 late payments on a CC but i always pay them off in a huge lump sum.

bills are coming at me harder now and with x-mas shopping coming up.. oh sheesh.

rent, electric (horrible in summer in florida with the a/c always on), cell phone, cable bill, and the nice new payment for the lexus.. parents pay my insurance.

Eventually people who move out to "party" will realize they want some privacy in their home (which is not doable with a party house). When I have people over I lock all the doors in my apartment except for the main bathroom for obvious reasons. No one goes in or out of my room, my laundry room (my storage for wheels is in there), or my kids' room for any reason...

So whats the best way to fix your credit. I have the pleasure of having great family members (mom, dad, uncles, etc) that beg me to buy them shit (ballys, cell phones, medical coverage, a car) under my name, promising they will never be late...and i end up footing the entire bill.

My credit is shot thanks to these assholes (still love em, they are fam)...so what can i do? I heard get a credit card, buy EVERYTHING you spend cash on with it (grocies, gas, etc) and pay the very NEXT DAY. In a few months the score is supposed to inflate to a nice level.

What I heard is you're supposed to buy stuff on credit cards and pay it off around 3 months. Supposedly if you pay it off every month it doesn't show up as quickly on your credit. Also never go above 60% of your max balance.. this isn't really great advice though because you'll be in debt.

STOP PAYING CASH FOR THINGS. I pay via debit card or check now.... When you pull out 400 in cash no one knows where it went.... at least that's how I think they see it.

Credit score just basically says how much you like to stay in debt, how much debt it is, and how quickly you pay it off... so in theory someone who has a million in mutual funds but hasn't owned a CC or had any kind of loan in 10 years will have a really shitty credit score. Ah well at my age I need credit so when I do get ready to buy a house I can actually get approved.
