    Oil capacities for Ford...

OK, I am going to be doing an oil change today for my friend with a 1990 SHO. I heard from someone they that take 6qts of oil. That seems like a little much. Does anyone know of a website or something that they could referance me to that would show oil capacities for the SHO, I dont think he still has the owners manual.

    Thanks

correction....my bad its 6-7 qarts. read here.

With a total oil capacity of 6-7 quarts at 12 GPM ~ 48 quarts per minute, infers the capability to suck the oil pan dry about 8 times a minute or every 7.5 seconds when the engine is near red line. And the oil pan would be dry if the oil can not make the trip through the pump, filter, lubricate the appointed task and return in the prescribed time! also just check the dipstick as well until it full.......like u would any car. but i found 6-7 quarts.

      The H22 takes 5

This is completely off topic (mainly because the question has been answered...) but I was thinking today... the SHO engine in a Taurus wagon would be SO hot...
