sorry i know a lot about the way turbos work, but actually pinpoiting things on a turbo i am not too sure about... so whats wrong with it? is it worth 100? do you think it needs a rebuild?

Ill be the first to admit Im a total novice in the forced induction area, but my 14b doesnt even have an exhaust housing and the fins on the exhaust turbine are bent and/or cracked. At least it was only 25 dollars.

I would not buy it. See those marks on the turbine...that metal is noticiably brighter. Turbine damage is a possibility. Then that shaved of metal had to go somewhere. Probably in the turbo and it ruptured some seals...It gets a from me.

^^^^ good looking out homie! i won't get it then. save up and just get a bigger turbo. there are still a lot of mods that need to be done to my car before i am truely ready for a bigger turbo (fuel, exhaust, dp) so i think i am just going to wait

People really thought I was lazy when it came to picking my turbos...Instead, this is proof on how picky I really am.

No problem. If you got another one you want me to examine, Pm me with a link. Ha, think this is bad, you should see how I get down on the ones in the parts yards. When you get to see the whole package, you know the story behind the turbo.

MachV Motorsports says the 16g is good on the stock motor...but you need the EvoIII housing as well as 550 or 560 injectors...Which ever one the Evo comes with. After that you are good to go. I think the oil lines are different, use you stock lines...if they fit.
