Spring 06 meet.. what location do you want?

ONLY VOTE IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY PLANNING ON ATTENDING.

Since we arent sure where we want to have it, I want to get a number of people that would be able to come to each of the two locations.

We have either Knoxvillish TN (somewhere around knoxville)

    Or around Charlotte NC

I would like to get some people from the NE US to be able to attend, while also having everyone else be able to make it.

Also, if you are one of the people in the NE region... post up if you are planning on attending. Trying to accomodate all, but if nobody is really going to come from up there, TN sounds better for others.

I'm 80% on NC... but if it's in Knoxville I'm 100% in... Paducah 100% in, Atlanta 100% in.. pretty much anywhere under 5 hour drive and I'm 100% in.. over that, it's about 80% sure.

I voted Knoxville but figured I'd let other options be out there too.

Yeah, well we still arent sure. I realized that we have had two meets in TN.. the honda-tech, and then the nashville one.

Atlanta would be nice.. real nice for my drive, but the people coming from the MI/MN area might not like it as much.

What would be ideal is for someone in that middle area to say "look, there is a nice huge park, a nice area of town, some hotels, plenty of different food, and stuff to do such as a NICE go cart track or something of the like."

I went to this thing called Kart2kart in Michigan. Its indoor go carts, a bit on the expensive side, but the carts all have timing devices on them, for groups you race grand prix style.. i think 3 races to determine the fastest and slower groups, then one championship race. After going there, no other go carts compare.

But, we need somone in one of those areas that is willing to set it up. It is nearly impossible to setup a meet, especially something this big without being at the location. They dont need to set up the whole thing, but we just need someone to help.

edit: looks like that is only in MI.. sure there has to be something like it somewhere

gotta remember that just because tn may be closer to you doesnt mean that that will be a huge turnout we tried to centralize the meet for the NE and for SE so that is the reasoning however ts always up to u guys

Oh I understand that.. that's why I'm willing to drive 5 hours without a second thought. The only thing that scares me about NC is it's a LONG drive.... similar to that of a HondaSociety meet I went to years ago... 14 hour drive for that one. I drove all the way from Nashville to Houston and turn out was 3 people... none of which I met! It was an event (World Import Challenge) so it wasn't so bad... but a meet in NC has no event... so if anybody (not just me) drove a long distance only to get lost or not meet anyone, would be a major bummer

Dont think you have to worry about a small turnout. Last one we had what... 20-25 cb7's and probably 40-50 cars total. Woulda liked a bigger cb7 turnout, so thats what 2006 is for!

Where is the thread where people posted on the map where they live? I'm in central NC but would drive 5 hours also.
