Yea, Daniel and Keith....IMO I would find another location and line it up. For a meet location, it doesn't have to be all "ritzy", just large enough to hold 40 cars or so. We're gonna all meet up, talk cars, take a few photos, then cruise out for a photoshoot & dinner eventually.

Anyhow, keep us posted and keep up the good work man. It's too bad these mall idiots are just money hungry and for a marketing guru, she's a moron to not realize the potential.

well i have mentioned b4 that theres a abondoned Wal-Mart parkin lot here in roanoke rapids. i dont think any1 cares that people hang out there. just we cant be there 4 like hours on end. probaly like 45min tops without hearin 4um da cops. but i kno a few of the state troopers and city cops around here so im sure i can get them 2 let stay there 4 a lil bit

If drag racing is only on Sunday then I'm sticking around no matter what. I don't care if I roll back into town at 7:55 AM just in time for school, I'll stick around.

I'd MUCH prefer there be some kind of drag event on Saturday, however. If there are any other drag strips in the area that will be open on Saturday I think that'd be a better idea.

Otherwise I might be tempted to open it up on the highway like I was last year

By the way who do you guys think is going to have the fastest CB7 there? I kind of isolated myself from the CB7 community so I don't really know who the hot shots are here anymore...the only one I recognize is MRX. I've already seen his car and he's a hella nice guy (met him in Nashville) maybe this time I'll get to run him.

Looks like we may have an informal CRX grudge race at the sunday event!!! Pm me with what you got in the 'rex bro, I wanna know what I'm getting into....

I will be bringing some sort of digi cam, and may have my new laptop by then... I'm also been looking into buying some external camera mounts and other and other goodies for awhile now. I want this meet to be WELL documented!!!!

Go ahead and add me to the "definitly coming" list I need a vacation, and I gonna take it!!!!

We have 9 solid from the Midwest as of now, but should have like 10-12 at least as the meet gets closer. I haven't pushed my crew yet for solid answers, but will beginning of March. There is the possibility of more as I was contacted by a Michigan import car club that is thinking of rolling down with our crew. Some Accords in their crew as well as other nice imports.

I dont think this meet would work out to be a very good "picnic meet" as far as bringing stuff from home. If we got there, and found a good place for it, it would be possible to get donations and then go and grab some food to grill up, but just gotta work on a location for now.

Yeah it said in the last few pages that they wanted to charge $10 per parking space at the 4 Seasons Mall in Greensboro. I'm not up for that, and other members indicated that they weren't either.

I'd still like to do the drag strip thing as well since my car:
A. Doesn't nescessarily fit in
B. Isn't really much to look at
C. I don't really have a good time slip so far

Appears as though the local tracks down there aren't having a test and tune but I haven't heard whether or not they'd allow us to run or not.

Yeah guys, the mall said they needed proof of insurance from "our group" and also wanted to charge $10 per parking space, which I think was not appropriate since we would have brought business to the mall. Their loss.

Keith is asking about having the meet at the zoo's parking lot, which is about 30minutes from GREENSBORO, which is where we would have originally help it. The state zoo is located in Keith and I's home town of Asheboro, NC 27203 (for anyone MapQuesting it). There are many very fine hotels here, and the city is very, very calm and clean.

However this presents an issue, since out plan HAD been to meet on the morning of Sat. and drive to another close by city, Salisbury to meet up with XStrategicDeathX, who works at a car wash. From GREENSBORO, its a nice 1 hr or so drive down a 4 lane highway, very nice cruise. We would get to wash our cars, (at a very nicely discounted rate I might add! bump for those guys).

However, now we are talking about being in Asheboro. So * * IF we can hold the meet in Asheboro, I would say to book your hotels HERE in Asheboro, NC 27203 ** But we have to wait to hear from Keith if the zoo is amenable.

THEN, once we hear from the zoo, we can revamp our plans. Is drag racing in the works? Well the local tack only has time avalible on Sunday, for any interested in doing that.

So, that is where things are, sorry for the long post. We are bummed about the mall, but shit happens. We're working on a new location, and a cruise (because that is what alot of people said they wanted, was a cruise). Eating, I thought we could all go out to eat, when we get back from washing the cars in Salisbury. A grill out? I'm not sure where we can do that around here, I have never done it myself or looked into it but it could be fun! I'll see if there is something avalible. Who knows, plans might change.

Bottom line is, we will have the damn meet, even if we just come to my house and fill the front yard! I will personally cook each person ramen noodles and a hamburger! We'll have fun whatever we chose to do, because its about you guys, and hanging out, not about what we do.
