Hi guys! Zipcreature here with a fast update on the Mall situation. Spoke very briefly with a woman there who was in charge of events, and gave her a little something I had typed up. She was in a rush so we did not get a chance to really talk to her, but I feel there was a misunderstanding between us.
She thinks we are wanting to hold and "event" at the mall, that would use up alot of the parking lot (she used the example of those traveling fairs which set up in the parking lots some times) and that is not what we are looking for at all!
Bottom line, she misunderstoon our request, that was her fault for only giving us litereally 10 seconds to talk (ask Keith...) so I am emailing her to try and work things out.

Hi Daniel and Keith,

It was nice meeting you both today. After you left I checked out our rate card and it would be $10 per space that you needed for your event.

Should you want to pursue this further we would take the following steps:
I would write up a proposal and present to my corporate office. They would either approve or disapprove the event.
Should they approve it I would write up a License agreement for you to sign (basically states that you are allowed to use our parking lot).
We would need a Certificate of Insurance from your group.
Please let me know if you wish to discuss this further. I look forward to hearing from you!

Dear Natalie,

It was also nice meeting you today. I’m not sure really how to say this but honestly I’m thinking there is a misunderstanding of the nature of our “event”. We are not having a car show, a car club meeting, or an “event” of any kind! We are simply a group of people and we needed somewhere torondevouse for a few mintures before heading for our cruise to Salisbury. The reason we were talking to you today was because mall security are notoriouse for giving import enthusiasts a hard time, since all they know about imports are what they see in the movies, or those few bad apples which give us law abiding and respectful owners, like Keith and myself, a bad name!
We really do not want to rent anything out, in fact we were a little shocked by this since we have never had anyone ask for us to pay to use their parking lot before. We just figured that Four Seasons would be more than happy to have us come in and shop, and our girl friends shop!
Please, I hope you can see a little better where we are coming from, and understand we are not having any type of event at all, just rendezvousing, snapping some pictures then leaving. Please feel free to email me back ASAP since the meet is not far off! Thank you again so much for your help!

*Update*

I just recieved a responce to my email. Looks bad guys! How does everyone feel about paying that money? Also, we do not have insurance as a group so that probably kills the deal right there. Anyway here is the responce. Keith and I joked that we should park the Cb7's all over the parking lot, at random places to no one realizes we are having the meet, and then make it into like an easter egg hunt!

In the meantime, I am trying to think of another location. Thanks for your patience, and support! I'll get back to everyone as soon as I know something.

IMO I would put together another letter just letting her know that she can rent the space out to somone else as we will just take our business elsewhere... seems like its one of those situations where "its easier to beg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission.

Maybe there is a speed shop/dyno shop around that would give us heads up of some space or would let us use their lot if we got some interested in dyno'ing.

ya im not to keen on payin to park i could use that 10 dollars for gas and i don't see why we jus don't find an empty lot park take pics then go else where if we get kicked out then have a back up plan
