Originally posted by ACCLUDE91My car has been sitting under the cover for about 4 months so I checked it out throughly yesterday. I gotta get 2 new tires today cause 2 have bubbles and broken bands in them. I changed oil, trans fluid, spark plugs and other items. I plugged in the P28 w/F22B1 base map and it runs pretty good but I have not been able to drive it yet so we'll see how it does. The IACV is shot so it idle loops until it warms up but once it's warm, it runs damn near perfect! Mine should be good to go for the trip. If it made it to FL and back 4 mos. ago then it should be fine to NC and back this weekend.
and again...just for emphasis
if it does it when its cold.... should be the fitv that needs adjusted IMO.

have you tried the fitv? Worked for me last time, of course its loosening up some again already.

I set it before the motor went in over a year ago. It's in a bad spot on the B1 - under the TB, plate facing the firewall. I don't have the right tools at my house to check it again now, but I will get some and try it before I leave. Couldn't hurt anything. The thing is that I was able to make it completely go away before by adjusting the IACV operation in uberdata. With the old P0A ECU I got a code for IACV. With the P28, no code and I can smooth it out a lot. I'll mess with it a little later today....drizzling outside right now and no tools yet.

I appreciate his gesture and though i have to decline he deserves some recognition for it. anyways, i'll let you all know when i know. latah.....
