incorrect, VTEC was designed and made within F1 racing, it was this technology that made its way to our cars. Honda was the king of the hill untill ferrari caught on to variable cam timing and soon after leaped ahead of honda. this was back in the day when there engines didnt go past 8k today they approaching 22k i believe

so the i in i-VTEC was designed in F1 . . . regular VTEC doesnt have variable cam timing

variable cam timing? really? the h22 has that? i thought it was only variable valve timing and lift, hence the name.
