Playstation 2 +action replay, gameshark, etc

i know that with the actionreplay you can turn your ps2 into a region free dvd player... but is it possible to be able to run japanese games?

like alot of you im sure, i want to get initial d special stage... but it was released in japan only. wondering if there is a way around it without modding.

Pretty sure the only way to play imports is to mod it. The import mod isn't too hard depending on which version PS2 you have.

yea, i did a little research and im getting the v12 slimkit w/swapmagic 3.6... itll allow me to play import games as well as burns w/o having to mod the system. apparently this specific disk swap works pretty well. im sure itll get a little annoying having to swap disks everytime i wanna play a game... but itll save me alot of money in the long run, so 10sec of my time is well worth it.
