    Accord Rivalry

i was just browsing through the different accord forums for different gens..

i like the 94-96 body style.. but man do they talk a lot of shit about how our cars are boxy..

im reading the 3rd gen accord 85-89 accord.. reading their kill stories against us is kinda funny.. but i give em props for hanging around and representing a forgotten class of accords. just sucks how their aftermarket support is weak.

6th gens..i dont really hear much from them.. just more of the v6s.

but i think the 90-96 accords have the best competition with each other.

just throwing my thoughts on board.. guys got any opinions on other gens?

Ha, tell me about it. I hear it all the time on sho. Here's a few snipets:

4th gens are teh meh. They're starting to get old, I mean the 5th gen can still be bought fairly new, less than a decade old. Style is more contemporary on the 5ths anyways.

Get a 5th gen. I'd bet you'd get more compliments on it. IMO i think the 5 gen accords look sporty and i've been told they are. 4th gens just look like a damn box.

You know.. For about 4 years now I've wanted an EF hatch 5spd to do a B18 swap... but they're harder and harder to come by every month..... so I got the next best thing... a CB7 sedan. I love how the hood goes DOWN from the driver's seat. my Camry hood kind of was up like a Mustang or something. It makes the car feel sportier when it goes down like the CB7 does.

I've had a 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation Accord...... I enjoy the 4th gen more for sport fun. I enjoyed the 5th gen the most for a bigger feel.... the 3rd gen I had felt HEAVY regardless if it was or not.... it just felt heavy.

Yeah it was funny being at the Walnut Creek meet. The 4th gen and 5th gen people were in their own clicks.

doesnt really bother me what others say about our cars, I just like the fact that were tuning something that is not really that popular. btw your sig read cb7 uner is there a t missing?

ditto . . . even though my 5th gen is technically faster . . . it just seems less sporty

To tell you the truth I hate the 5thgens with a passion. I stay raping em up with my setup Hell I even kicked one around with jsut the swap and he had a swap too. He pointed at me when i had my window rolled down I looked and he downshifted I heard the vtec just like mine.

So then he guns it I gun it while im lookin at him im steady pulling away from him. He gives me a look like hmm I know what you got in there, then i Got off the exit without even to bother lookin at him. They are just too heavy and they are mimicking the preludes heavily with teh headligths and taillights but can never be.

I dont even know why the hell japan even put the h22 motors in it to make it an sir. they should have started with us. I find nothing sporty about those cars at all. They just completely suck ass man just suck ass.

                            I wouldnt buy a 5th Gen.
Although they are nice to look at, idk, i wouldnt buy one.
Like several others said, it just doesnt feel all that sporty.
