this little detail is why i am going to install a "custom" modification to my car's security system... eheh...eheh...hehe... hope they like electroshock!

hah, no seriously... when you have a custom car like some of us, you invest in some serious hardware in security system...as well as a GPS tracking system do they make celphones with built in GPS? if so, put one of those in your car...hehe

Alarm system will not protect you enough these days. Suggestions.

-Kill Switch for ECU/Fuel Pump
-Lowjack
-Park in a garage
-Card slider key start alarm system.

I wanna install one of those old school gas on/off switches like they put in the muscle cars, but somewhere hidden and not in the trunk like they normally put them.

hehe, yep i thought the celphone was a good idea cuz they might expect you to be using lowjack or On* or something, and they would expect that, not your bloomin celphone... at that point it falls to your type of crook

dumb > doesn't even find the celphone, and your cel leads you right to the car
greedy > thief steals your celphone before he dumps your car...then you have your cel back, as well as the guy who stole your car...
smart > would likely not think about your cel (ie, he'd be looking for lowjack or On*), either leaving it with the car absentmindedly, or trying to sell it off to someone else..., in which case you can still trace back to the guy who stole your car, just tracing the long way...

the only way this wouldn't work would be if the thief took your celphone and threw it out the window... which, c'mon, a nice celphone these days is worth a small fortune... you'd probably need the McGuyver of car thieves to get someone who immediately realized the cel was planted thier to find the car when it was stolen...
