Remember the thread I started about me getting a second CB7?
Well, I went and picked it up yesterday morning...
1992, LX, 168,000, Automatic
Took her for a test drive and she ran pretty good.
It needed:
- Valve cover gasket
- Thermostat
- Upper hose
- Lower hose
- New battery
- Plugs
- Wires
Those I replaced...
It also needed:
- Oil pan gasket
- Timing belt
- New exhaust
- Brakes
- Antenna
I didn't replace that stuff...
But I filled up the tank and dropped some octane booster and FI cleaner in with the gas and drove over my parents to show them...
Got it for $1625 out the door.
While I was over there, the rich guy who details cars across the street came over to check the car out.
(He just bought a 1995 Civic DX 5spd for a winter car, he has an S500)
He gets out of the Civic and asks me if my car is automatic....
I told him it was, and he came and looked at it...
Then he was like, "Trade ya?"
I didn't believe him, but he was serious...
I was running the Accord on an open throttle body until my short ram was ordered - took off the stock air box and shat down at my buddys shop...
So I told him it needed an intake or stock airbox. (We tossed my stock shit in the dumpster which gets emptied every Monday @ 4-5 pm)
He gave me his credit card and asked me if I could run up to Summit and put one on...
I said yeah, and drove up and picked up an AEM Polished Short Ram...
Brought it home and installed it on "his" Accord...
He gave me his registration and I gave him mine...
I also got the keys to my new Civic 5 speed...
Woke up this morning and put insurance on it...
It only has 116,000 miles with a rebuilt D15B7... runs AWESOME!
Clean as hell, like a new car!
I guess when you have money, it doesnt matter...
I was out practicing driving today and only stalled out once
I still can't believe it!
