Holy shit! Does the shop have insurance? I would post this on every forum you can think of. Someone needed a BIG truck to do this. I'll keep my ears and eyes open.

yeah, dayton ohio. i used to be from there and i'm very good friends with the guys that run the shop. they did my custom gas filler, my motor swap, and a lot of other stuff.

they had insurance, but i don't know if they had enough. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I know a few people down in dayton. I'll see if I can get a hold of them and let them know. Hopefully the insurance will cover this.

Thats something smart to say considering Matt (owner of the shop) is an active member here (reads a lot, but doesn't post much) and when they're doing a serious investigation for just the loss of the tools, yet alone damage.. you really want to add your self to that?

Damn thats some serious shit. 93accord2dr, you really do not need to comment like that. Do not think that the police will look at comments like these as jokes.

That list was so long Adam I could not even read all of it. I guess its the risk you run when you have a shop. Someone raided an audiostore by my house a while back. Their ass got caught because they tried to sell it back on Ebay and swap meets. So, I am sure these people will get caught and face some serious jail time.

Wow thats a lot of equipment. They must have had quite a while to move all that stuff.

That's really too bad stuff like that has to happen, and that there's people who would stoop low enough to engage in theivery.

Hopefully everything will work out and the responsible individuals will be caught.

In the back of my mind, I have one person.. someone who knew the security code for the alarm coz there is no way it could take them a few minutes to get half of the stuff out.

I wish I could find pics of me working on my car there so I could show you guys how many tools and door kits were around. Their new P/C machine was bigger than my car it seemed like.. so odd.

Dang, sucks to hear about it. Cameras can ONLY do so much.

A bike shop down here a few weeks ago lost about 250k worth of bikes, they had cameras inside and out, fenced in rear parking lot. Didnt stop them. They went to the store next door, came across on a ladder or something, dropped in through the ceiling, scampered around in the attic cutting security wires and bypassing it. After that, they took all the time they needed getting bikes ready and finding what they wanted.

Then they kicked out a side door, cut the fence, loaded all the stuff up and left. Dont think they have any idea who did it either.

But hopefully they catch the fools who did that. That is quite a bit of individual equipment to get rid of, and someones gotta know something.

edit: and I am sure the goods are a few states away by now. No right minded theif would keep it in the same area. I'd keep searching ebay and the like to see what you can come up with.

Even just search for those names and see what forums pop up with stuff like that for sale. If you find someone with a bunch of stuff, check them out.

Hopefully they have serial #'s, or maybe a shitload of vertical door kits will pop up on Ebay. In any case, like a weed pusher with a burner and an alibi, you have to protect your investment and protect it well, whether by incredible security means or by making sure the insurance is good. I can already think of how I would protect my shop if I had one (bulletproof shock alarmed glass in front, crazy high security doors in the back, alarms, and I'd be the only one w/the keys).

Sucks that this happened though, bigtime...that's someone's well-being. I wish them luck.

All of the door kits have "DIC" or "RE" engraved in them.. so if you get a kit and see a bunch of scratches or that on it.. contact me so we can do further investigation.

DIC = Dayton Imports Customs
RE = Recon Engineering
