    Time to move up/on???

I have learned alot from this site about cb7's and i love them. I got rid of my old auto cb7 when the tranny blew. Oh well....I got an 03 AV6 6spd. It is a very nice car and fast. Well there is not much aftermarket products for the car but still I love it. I have plans for it such as a possible 3.5 conversion later in the future. I am also in the process of trying to fully get my own place. Socal sucks and rent and everything is high but I want to do it. I really really want a cb7 project w/ all motor H22 or possible boost but that takes time and lots of money i don't have. I just ordered a magnaflow catback for the AV6 and still want other mods for it like 19" rims, struts or coilovers, HFP lip kit. I am very impatient but still... I bought the V6 to be nice and fast and i still want to mod it. Then i want my full on project cb7 to race and run. Then i can have my ridgeline to pull the cb7 .

I am really just thinking of moving on and keep the V6 and contiue to mod it and kinda give up on the cb7 for a long while.

Sorry if the thoughts are all scattered but i just had to rant and kinda get opinions Thanks...

Everything passes man. You've got a new whip now so go join a forum dedicated to that car and rock it!! You probably learned some stuff here, but you can be smart about it also. Think what are your priorities? Get your house, wife, kids, then extra money $$ is fun money. lol projects are cool, but eventually the majority of us will want newer and faster cars - or more family oriented cars (damn....thats going to suck lol !).
Anyways CB7tuner.com in a birthplace and a place to nourish tuners. Do the 3.5 conversion - or get the S/C and just post a link every once and a while for people to look at.
      Have faith in yourself.

my personal opinion, keep the AV6 and just mod that. its a great car, my bro has one; he threw on the HFP kit, teins, Axxis Mod 7's(staggered), AEM V2, and we did S2K projector retrofits. the AV6 has plenty of hp and tq and the reliability of having a new or newer car.

          Very well said, zipcreature.

My first car several years ago was a '74 Camaro and I kept it for about 12 years. Over the years I learned every damn bolt on that thing and had a strong attachment to it. It got some nice upgrades like a lowered suspension and fuel injection but all along my goals were always with an eye towards making it more "like a new Z-28".

Eventually you come to realize that only a new Z-28 is a new Z-28 and I sold it. Along the way a '84 Prelude and new '93 SE-R showed me what sophistication was and I never looked back.

Thanks for the input everyone...I do plan on keep the AV6 for a long time but i guess i feel that i just want to mod this car and wait on my project cb7. The V6 is a fast car but it i kinda hard to get it any faster w/ out some motor build. They make no forced induction on this. I hope later I can do a full 3.5 all motor build.

I originally went looking for a G35 or 350Z but at 30K i just could not afford it and i got my V6 used at 20k w/ 24K miles. It was all price and plus i love the accord and the cars.

Anyone know any other sites dedicated to the V6 accord. I do lots of looking but very very little posting on V6p.net. any other??

Will this kit not fit your AV6?

Nope that is the 98-02 V6. That engine is rated at 200 hp and my V6 is 240. It seems to be the same engine just w/ some different mods like the new dual stage intake manifold and so on. The 03+ has 3 cats w/ NO headers. They have 2 cats one off each head. So it does not have a regular header just strait to cats. It also has a 3rd cat at the collector. I already replaced that w/ a test pipe.

When my car reaches 200k (185k right now), I might call it quits and move on to a new project. Don't bother getting another cb7, once is enough.

                      Jaime,

Modify the AV6, and slowly let the thoughts of a cb7 diminish! your car is sick man, and will spank most cb7's, so why go back? Move on in life, and how about making a site dedicated to AV6 accords? You could be the HEAD GUY!

You're a cool guy, just do what you feel will benefit you in the future. Go meet your GIRL in vegas, and see what escalates from that! She might move out here with you! who knows just keep modifying the AV6!

See good thing i didnt sell you my short block! you can thank me a couple of years from now for saving you a grip of money!
