[BEFORE YOU SCROLL TO SEE THE PICS, READ TO SEE HOW LUCKY I WAS]
Well needless to say i got into an accident yesterday. And i made out like a bandit, very lucky!!! For those of you familiar with the orlando area, i was on the 528 to 417 interchange, and it was raining, and on the downhill portion of the left hand turn, the car just broke loose. Before i go any further i would like to say that i was driving a little too fast, and we hadn't had any rain for a while so im sure the road was extra slick. So as the car broke loose, i went from the far left hand lane, and slid all the way over to the right hand lane (3 lanes), then hitting the guard rail on the driver side of the front end, the car then proceeded to spin . . .i think, and then i slid back across those same 3 lanes of traffic, and came to a rest after my rear end tapped the other guard rail. All of this occured with out hitting another car, though when i stopped moving
there they were, also a police officer stopped to make sure i was ok. Luckily enough the airbag did not deploy, and also while the accident happened, my dumbass didnt have my seatbelt on, yet im fine. like i said int he thread title, someone was looking out for me yesterday.
Now onto the damage. Gonna need a new bumper, driver side fender, and front radiator support, and all the driver side lights (Head, corner and bumper). And all day yesterday I was stressin about having to pay for all the parts outta pocket and having to fix it myself. But when I called my dad today, he reminded me and himself that I have collison coverage on my insurance with a $500 deductable. I had never thought about that seeing as how before my CB i have had nothing but high mileage winter rust buckets, with nothing but liability. So right now I am a lot happier than i was yesterday.
Also one funny amazing tidbit. my bumper lip had no damage depsite the front end hit. only one blown out mounting point.
