.. i HAD more shaved on my accord than your girl does on her entire body..
So today was possibly the best time I've had in since I can remember.
This morning I learned:
- MX-5's are incredible auto-X cars.
- Power-on oversteer is fun.
- I need a RWD car.
- I need a better shifter.
I went to the Zoom Zoom Live event which featured the MX-5 (Miata), 3, 5, 6, and RX-8 models, and basically they let you drive the piss out of them for free. I jumped into the 6-speed MX-5 and got to do an auto-X style course. It was an absolute blast and I didn't think I did too bad for my first try. I was 3.9 seconds slower than the time to beat. Mind you this was the first time I played with RWD, and it did step out on me
Later today I learned.
- Mike (Deevergote) and Eric (AccordR33) are two of the nicest people you will ever meet.
- Turbo Accords are great fun to ride in and I want a BOV really really bad right now. I got goosebumps every time I heard the BOV hiss. Nothing is better than a 14 year old asking if they car has NAWSSSSS.
- Mike's car is possibly the fastest thing I've ever ridden in (no offense Eric, but he was pushing it like crazy, and I know you were having clutch issues and not pushing it like he was...but man when you were on boost )
- I will be getting the H22 swap ASAP. Adding a turbo later.
- I'm also add HID projectors to that list as they are amazing.
- Accord suspensions suck.
- Remanufactured axle break way too often.
- My car doesn't look good sitting on jackstands overnight.
- Tomorrow will be another busy day.
So even though I'm only about 20% into my suspension install, today ruled. Now if Mike just makes it safely home back to Jersey, it'll be all good.
Thanks everyone for wishing me a happy b-day, and thanks Mike and Eric for helping out with everything, and thanks to my good friend Chris and his gf Jen for taking me to Zoom Zoom live.

cool...im a town over and couldnt be there.........:shakes head in discuss:
and yes i love h22 powerd cb7's.....i drove that lx that was swapped in east bridgwater plenty of time......man was that thing quick. i love how quick they rev and get up to higher rpms in no time. i would rather a h22 accord than a lude. lighter and better looking imo.
I would have loved to ridden in both cars when they were totally pushing it. When I was in Eric's car the clutch was acting up, but its just insane...both cars really. I didn't feel like I was in an Accord in either car.
Both cars were seriously fast. I want them both. Pictures of Eric's car does not do it justice. Even my mom was commenting on it, and my mom doesn't care much about cars as long as they run.
I just wish I got my suspension back together (damn axle, no fault of anyone) so I didn't have to drive Deever around in the Escort.
yah i had a great time today. I dunno what the heck is wrong with my clutch, but that sound cannot be a good thing. i wish i could have really pushed it for you so you could feel what it can acutally do....but better safe than sorry
I still feel bad that I can't come back and help finish the job! Yesterday was great, but things got all messed up. Bill, I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you! I'll be up there again soon though, I promise.
Until then, we need to get you MA guys down to Jersey! Eric, I want to put my H against your turbo and see who wins!

no problem deev......i wanna see the Htwizzy race the accord-T.
and deev did ya like mass?
Yeah, I loved it. The drivers are just like jersey drivers!
But yeah, I've always liked it up there. My mom's family is from there, so I grew up saying 'cah' I could definitely live up there. It's just a shame the rest of my life is down here! I would move in an instant if I could (Mike'll tell you... I kept asking how much houses went for in certain areas...)
hope you had a good one, and i know you dont know this!
I'd tell you its a 1969-70 Lamborghini Muira, but it'd ruin the surprise.
UPDATE ON THE CAR:
It's back together. Making weird noises, but the front's all done. I'll do the rear next weekend. I just hope it settles, 3 finger gaps isn't enough yet. I'm hoping for a nice 2 all the way around. The funny thing is my driveway is so bowed that it looks like it'll scrape already.
Henry, the "name that car" thread has basically turned into the "stump warrior" thread... That's why Danny put that here And yeah, I would trade the Dirty Jersey life for a Taxachusetts life for sure. The only thing that keeps me from moving away is my family (and Meg's family)
What kind of noises is the car making, Mike? If the driver's side axle doesn't sound or feel right, rip it out and replace it! Remember that that was coming out easily too... it just went back in... I still say it should be replaced anyway! I don't want to see you or ice getting hurt because it fails! I'm glad to hear it's back together though. The rears should be cake after doing everything you've already done!
