Seriously, in Universal Studios Orlando they have a somewhat more timid version of Fear Factor, called Fear Factor Live. My mom and I tried out, and both of us got onto the show. It's a stadium full of over 2k people, it was pretty sweet...
First stunt:
Endurance hang... there was an upside down V shaped bar that you had to hold onto as long as you could while industrial fans blew on you. First two to drop were eliminated
Second Stunt:
Part one:
Get bean bags out of a tank full of eels and throw them to your partner, 10 feet away so they could catch them... all while people from the audience shoot water at you from water cannons
Part two:
One person is swinging from the height of 2 1/2 stories with squid, throwing them at the other partner to catch. all while people from the audience shoot water at you from water cannons
Third stunt:
Climb up a wall, knock off 6 different flags, slide down a flagpole and grab a key, "turn on a car", the car was hoisted 35 feet in the air. You then had to climb onto the hood and pull off flags that were on the grille. Then, climb back into the car, shoot a fake rocket launcher into a target and you win!!! All of that while water is being poured on you
lo and behold, I fucking won. I won four tickets to Universal Studios, a T-shirt, and a fear factor video game. All in all, it was a fun experience......
sooo here's the pictures...
My Mom and me standing outside the casting booth, listening to dirrections probably
My picture on the big screen as we walked out onto the balcony. I think I was talking when the picture was taken
From right to left, a stunt coordinator, another girl in the show, me, my mom, the host, and another competitor
Me, getting ready for them to drop the platform from below my feet
All of the winners of the hanging competition
The tank of eels
Me, getting ready to catch squid, you can see my mom getting hoisted up on the big screen in the background
My mom swinging as she tossed me the squid...
Me climbing up the wall in the last stunt.
Me, hanging onto the hood as I took the last flag off of the grill
Me, after victory, on the way back down.
My mom on her way back down, defeated... you can get a good idea as to how tilted the car actually was.
We were still both winners!
Aparently, fear was not a factor for me!
