Smashing Pumpkins have been done for years now... Unless they're coming back and I don't know about it!

My girlfriend is getting me into Franz Ferdinand a little... pretty good stuff, from what I know of them. The Killers also have a decent CD out now, though some of it is a little odd... I like the hits, but the rest of it is kinda Radiohead-ish, IMO, and I'm not a fan of that style.

Glory, if you mention the Smashing Pumpkins, are you refering to Billy Corgan's solo album? It's out already, really weird and I deleted it after one listen.

glory, check out "hot hot heat" they are pretty good and somewhat fit the genre you are looking for. i cant say im a huge fan of that genre, but i do like hot hot heat, iv seen them twice

The Killers cd is great, only 2 tracks i dont like on the whole cd.
check out Postal Service. a little mellow to some, its the lead singer from Deathcab for Cutie. good stuff.
Hot Hot Heat - besides Bandages i had their cd and couldnt get into it.
Franz Ferdinand - ok, the single is good, but their cd sounds like every british movement band out there.
check out Modest Mouse's "good news for people who like bad news". some good songs there, specifically Bukowski.
Samshing pumpkins in the day were ok, but thats all. just ok. Zwan was a miserable failure and Billy Corgan's solo debut has no pull on me whatsoever. however, Blindside did a song with Billy Corgan on their "About a Burning Fire" cd.
and while were on it, i just went to my second Blindside concert, front row, caught a water bottle from the lead singer. let me just say, Blindside is awesome. if you have any taste whatsoever definitely get their new cd, or any of them actually it doesnt matter. on their new one "The Great Depressin" there is a track on there (the last track) called When I Remember. got chills the first time i listened.
