Cops <3 Me... (where to get db tested)

i just got a modified exhaust ticket today, and i know its not that loud... but im not about to tell a cop that.

he heard me speeding apparently, follows me into a parkinglot(i was going back to work). he never had his lights on or anything... but after i was already parked and as i was turning the engine off, was when he parked his bike and came up to me. he asked for my license and i asked why. tells me after i made the left back there i floored it. i told him, no i was only doing maybe 40(in a 30 zone). so he snaps back and says "do you wanna argue about this?"... of course i dont, so i said no and handed him my license. couple minutes later he calls me out of my car and tells me he's just gonna give me a ticket for modified exhaust... and then reminds me the speed limit is 30.

now back to the point. can smog stations to db tests... or do you have to goto special locations?

he marked the infraction as "not correctable" so im definetly gonna fight this bs.

You know its shit like that piss me off and I think Mike (AccordWarrior) put it best, they would pull over a Honda or any other import with a fart can because of exescive noise but they wouldnt pull a fucking Harley over?

Ten times as loud and when they take off theyre obnoxious about it.

Simple being a Honda owner isnt as easy as we think it is.

I was so lucky to get a cool cop when I got pulled over for no seat belt. I played the cancer card and he was sympathetic suprisingly.

Cops suck period and some of them abuse there power IMO. I remember I did this sick burnout at my old job working for BK.

Statie pulls me over and tried to get me fired. I think he was so impressed by my burnout skills he didnt even attempt to revoke my license but he decided to play the race card and I flipped out..thus nothing was done. I still had my job , my car and MY license .

Burnout for 300 ft and I won lol

Cops suck ass you need to put a resonator in it and throw a silencer on it and when you run it take the silencer out get rid of the buzz and you can escape from the fuzz.

dude i feel your pain...i got pulled over 2 days ago....i was cruising in neutral and the cop saw the exhaust and pulled me over... the only difference is i got a warning for "defective equipment" i have 20 days to replace it and show proof to the dmv or they take my registration or something.. i think the dmv does db tests though...

i just got pulled over 2 weeks ago by campus cops....hahah..campus cops...so bored..they pulled me over...they were following me because on every corner there was a cop..i think they were communicating via radio...they need to join the army or something...dumb fucks..they told me it was illegal to have modified exhaust..i got away with a warning.

im actually not worried about it passing, i know it will. he just gave me the ticket cause it looks modifed. i cant really argue about a db test in the middle of a parkinglot.

i can throw on a cat, i already have a 22" magnaflow resonator going out to an obx twinloop. i know its not that loud. its just a hassle to deal with.



i was searchin around on h-t, and someone mentioned they took it to the state ref station. if thats really where you have to go, im fucked. he said they pop your hood, check the oil and what motor is in it, so they know how high to rev to do the testing. only problem is, my motor isnt reffed, and wouldnt pass if i tried. i might just have to pay the ticket. either way, i got a can of hightemp flat black and im gonna spray the entire canister so only the tip shows. cant get more stock looking than that.

Why wouldn't it pass the ref? You got it past the sniffer, didn't you? Do you have all of the emissions stuff on it? Cat, charcoal canister, EGR and such? If you've got all that and the vacuum is connected and routed correctly, the only problem would be the sniffer... At least that's where MY problem lies...
