Anyone in or very close to Charleston/Mount Pleasant, SC Area?

I'm really trying to get some information about the area because i'm lookin to make a very big move with my company into that area and i want to hear from someone with general interests like mine about what the area is like, what type of scene is down there, crime rate, entertainment as far as party life, women, everything. its a pretty big decision since i am movin by myself and only know one or 2 people down there and wont really have anyone else outside of them. If anyone lives around there that can tell me all about it, i'd be really grateful. I'm looking at the Mount Pleasant area but i'll be working between there and Charleston.

charleston is a nice area..... alot better than columbia / west columbia

What is the place like? as far as what is there to do in charleston? I know the cost of living there is a little higher than here (DE has no sales tax ) but Dover is turning into a miniature Vegas. Is the crime rate pretty low there?

pretty much..... but as with the strip (myrtle beach) your gonna have alot of tourists and junk around that area.... but i'd still love to live down there....houses are alot more down there than in columbia.... but most of the prices on stuff are still the same.... and gas is a little higher too usually...

Well the cost of living i'm not too worried about...as far as night life, outside of the beaches, are there alot of clubs, stuff to do? What about the import scene down there?
