    Help me plan my demise...

    OK...

I've been plagued with this for a long time now. I have a 93 Accord EX 2 door that runs great. But the thing is is that in order for it to be pretty freakin' pimp it'll need work. We're talking either turbo'd F22 or an H22, paint, rims, etc. Now...having said all of that the ride has NOTHING wrong with it. But the thing is is that even with the H22 and paint and such the car will still be an Accord and that is how it'll always be. I have absolutely nothing against Accords, however, doing what I would do to the Accord I could either get a let's just say new Civic Si, a used 98 ITR or something like that OR even get like an EG hatch and B16 it and have a very quick and nice looking ride. My Accord is 3,000 pounds. It has 140HP. Now, if you had a Civic that wighed like 2,000 and 160HP...something's telling me it'll run. Now just getting to the point, what should I do: Keep the CB7 as my car and do EVERYTHING to it, OR keep the CB7 as the daily and get a Civic and do EVERYTHING to it? Now, just to remind you, this won't happen for a few years...but I'm just planning ahead so I can know how to spend my money on the Accord.

    Thanks for ANY info!

Definitely stay with your CB7. I realize that accords are fairly heavy from the factory but that can change. Just lighten the car. Remove items such as carpet, sound deadening material, spare tire, rear seat, inside door panels, etc. You can do as little or as much as you want. Oh and I thought that CB7s weighed 2700 lbs empty.
As far as modding goes, start off slow. Go for an exhaust, intake headers, high flow cat, plugs, plug wires, battery, and work on from there. It takes money to modify anything whether it is a civic or a mustang. Parts cost $$$ anyway you look at it. Just start slow and work up to it. Learn as you go. That way you can save on some labor. Get friends to help.
Just think of how your CB7 will look, sound, and drive when you finish with it. I would be so rewarding to make it all your own. And at least you will be original. How many modded CB7s do you see on the road? Not many! Now, how many modded civics do you see? My point exactly. Anyway, good luck and God bless with whatever ya do. Peace out.

that was absolutely breathtaking! lol I'm not even kidding!

I dunno. I mean...every car that you will mod will cost money, obviously. But it's like...ok...I have this Accord that can have 200HP and still run the same as like a 99 Civic Si with exhaust. The car without all of the mods will be more reliable...usually. Regardless of what I do I'll have the CB for like 2 more years. It just seems odd because my CB is very quick...but like if I get a turbo for the F22 I might as well just get an H22. If I get an H22 and paint for it I might as well get a Civic Si. The big problem I have with the CB's is there's like nothing for them. The JDM one is just like the USDM one. None of the seats I want fit into it.... Dunno. I really do like the CB7 and it's even more appealing due to the fact that it's completely paid for. We bought it straight up for 3,800. But I just don't see putting 10 grand into a car worth 4 grand. On the other hand I do like the CB for the pure sleeper look. Who do you see driving MOST CB's? Old folks. Period. They can have a very clean look to them as well. Dunno. I'll probably just end up keeping the CB7.

if it were me....i'd keep the accord stock and get a civic to mod. i know, i know, mod the accord, but i love accords for their reliability and utter brilliance, not so much for their performance aspect, even if you drop in a new engine or go boosted. if you get the civ, like fizz, you drop a b16 in there and it will haul ass, then lighten it some and throw some bolt ons on there and it will be even faster

Get a H22 youll love it your gonna be vtec happy slap it in a cb7 and noone will suspect you haveing a modded 14 second car if its for a civic . I say dont get a civic they are too comon to coin a frase that shit is wach no when you beat up on one of them with even more weight doin allmotor youll get more respect that a heavier car beat on them. It just takes money practice and patience.

Civics definitely haul with B16s in them. I am in the sports car club at Clemson and this guy has a 91ish civic. It has a b16 that is heavily modded. Really loud exhaust, small wheels with hoosier slicks for autocrossing, fully stripped interior except front door panels and dash, sparco race buckets and 5pt harnesses, loads of suspension work, etc. It is awesome. It is maroon and has clear corners/bumbers and that is about it.
I got to take a ride in it at my first autocross. That sucker hauls!!!!! It posted fastest time of the day on that run.(It was later beat only by an MR2 with a jspec turbo MR2 motor in it, a heavily modded neon with a turbo 2.4L minivan motor in it, and a trans am. The autocross had some awesome cars there including a Saleen stang, trans ams, rsxs, 350zs, corvettes, turbo miatas, a porsche, a mini, a celica, an M3, a wrx, and even a CB7 and an 80s hatch accord(who's driver by the way is great!). Each driver only got 4 runs. I'm sure that the civic could have won it if he had another run.
Anyway, the whole point of that was to say that b16 civics are awesome. The guy still had to spend like 10gs to get that car that fast. I still say stick with the CB7 but having a civic too wouldn't be so bad. HeHeHe! I guess I will stop typing;I think I have said enough for now.

I've been thinking alot lately and I'll just stick with the CB7 I think. Simply becuase I already have the car...so I won't need to go buy another one. My CB7 is paid off already. It will really get on me if I have money laying around for mods...but am saving it for a new car that factory will have that of a lawn mower. It just doesn't make sense. And I can do very minimal work to the CB7 and it'll look REALLY clean. That's what I like about the CB chassis...super clean. That is all. Thanks guys!
