    1. i hope your mom doesn't sign your loan
    2. think of a better way to spend 5000 dollars
    3. work for your money
    4. stop becoming jealous of your friends and associates
    5. be happy with what you have

Ya taking a loan out for mods is up there on the bad idea contender bracket, esp. on a 90-93 Honda Accord. When you work for that money you'll realize how much $5000 is, and you'll see all the more worthwhile stuff you can put it into.

If you really wanna fit in with your "friends" sell your CB and get an EG w/a GSR motor. Then you and your friends can go "Yaaay, VTEC"!!!

$5000 into a car as old as ours is almost like litterally throwing it away. So, its not really a good idea (IMO) to be putting that much money in the car unless you have a lot of money to throw around.

when Im done with my car, I might have around 5 g's put into it.. so what? I dont know about ur loan, if u can pay it off.. and it doesnt have much interest maybe its not to bad of an idea, on those terms.. but i mean, shit.. ill put over 5g's in my car without thinkin twice..true, youre not gonna get out of it what u put into it..but im never gonna sell my accord anyways, unless it gets totalled somehow.. ill have it till i die prlly.. if u really want that loan.. I say go for it, IF.. and only IF u can pay it off, and the interest isnt hella high

It's a bad idea. Don't do it. If something happens to your CB7 and you can't drive it you'll be paying a loan on a car you can't use. Put it to something useful or work and save up for it. A loan for mods on a 12+ year old car is among the worst financial ideas ever.

I had my car for 3 years before I even put wheels on it! Then in the last 1.5 years, I've put about 9Gs into it (including the wheels and tires). It was worth it to me, but I didn't have to take out a bank loan to do it and I'm going to have to keep the car for at least another 5 years or so to try to get my money out of it. You might want to rethink the loan thing and take your time getting the mods done. It's so much more satisfying that way. Besides, you can see exactly what each mod does and enjoy it for a while before you go in and do something else.

                    Peace. OUT!

Taking out a loan is a BAD idea. Trust me, you'll never get it back out, period. If you can afford to fix it up great. If not, then just save up. I would say I dumped maybe 4-5k into my (former) CB7 and got what, an extra grand out of it when I sold it? Yeah, great investment.

I myself dont care if i put 10 grand in my car, and only get like 4 or less out of it.. im not worryed about gettin my money back out of my car, im modding it because I want to see her beautifull, doesnt matter how much it takes, If i put lets say 5 grand into my car, and sell it for 2.. lucky buyer.. id like to think that im not "investing" because I dont care how much its worth..thats how i see it lol.. i mean, shit, ive payed 1800 for my car, and allready put about 1200 into the motor or more, 550 for the rims and tires, about 250 bucks for my clutch, 300 for the trans, and a shit load of time that I have put into my car. to see where she was, and how far she has came.. doesnt matter how much money was spent

just save up the $$$; it aint worth taking out a loan just so that you can splurge it all just to hook up your ride. there are other things in life you'll need a loan for and hooking up a ride shouldn't even be considered. i can't tell you what to do, but maybe the advice given by most of the tuners here helps you think differently.

I say before you get into all this tuner worldology id say get a hoopty just incase it goes bad you can get around in it or buy another stock motor just incase shit dont work out swap it again and start over and chill awhile till the right time ocmes around again. Because hey in the tuner world shit happens lets just say i told you so and no real investment on a car goes to waste really as long as you know what you doin and what you want out of it thats my opinion let noone steer you wrong.

                              1. Dont get that loan, if you dont have the money in hand dont do it.
                              2. Ive dumped well over 20,000 into my accord. I got about 3000 for it.
                              3. I was absolutely Ok with what i sold it for.
                              4. If you need your mom to co-sign, you shouldnt be thinking of even getting a loan.

its like nothing in the world. definition of relaxation.
