nextel/motorola i730 help..

i have an i730.... and the ringtones suuuuuuck... and i only had 5 backgrounds taht came with it(suck) so does anybody know how to put ringtones and backgrounds on it? i've gone to nextel sites adn downloaded the songs.... and backgrounds.... but i have this cable... and when i plug it to the phone my computer gets all confused and doesn't let them connect.... so if anybody has ever dealt with this plz help me...

go to ebay and look for tha cd that has all that crap on it. make sure tha cd is for ur phone. if u already have tha usb cable, u should be good.

That's if you want to pay like 1.99 for a ringtone and 2.99 for a wallpaper i believe. Look for a program called WebJal and with it you can upload ringtones and everything.

most ringtones and wallpapers that are on websites are made for non nextel phones... they may or may not work... and plenty of sites state unequivocally that they won't work for nextel phones.

best bet is to use nextel's site. but he seems to have a problem with it.

thus, call nextel at 611 and see what can be done.

Yeah, unless you know the parameters for the ringtones or wallpapers (112X96 pixels i think?), then you should call nextel and get the official ones.

uncle el, you are wrong. sorry to say, but no that will not work. i did have the programs but i let my keys expire since i left nextel around 3 months ago.

alot of misinformation here. do not call nextel cs reps, they will tell you how to use the net to pay through the ass for wack ringtones.

do not try to use other carriers ringtones and ota (over the air, or net) ringtone downloading. nazitel blocks all the means of ota ringtones.

go to wimatt.com (is down for repair, will be back up soon) or hofoufn.com, shit like that. you will be able to custom make your own wav ringtones for the i730.

you will need to use webjal (which is hard to get, but can be had if you look around on those sites i mentioned) you can use nextel.howardforums.com to get more info on this topic (but no wares are posted because howard chui is afraid of legal problems). once you get the loader (webjal or myjal) i can send you a folder with over 200 wav ringtones (rap/reggaeton) preformatted for i730s.

i left nextel because of their *** customization features, and their weaksauce reception, and their overly expensive plans/taxes, and outdated phones. but hey i'll try to help you.

but imo, t-mobile + v635 + bluetooth headset hs850 + free m2m mins = win.
