For all our Rockers out there what is your favorite heavy, metal, death rock, industrail, etc. band?



As you can see i love 36 Crazyfists, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Coal Clamber, Demon Hunter, Skin Lab, Fear Factory, Ill Nino, Mudvayne, Slip Knot, Penny Wise, some of Strapping Young Lad, and for the heavy punk Rise Against.

I didn't see Crade of Filth or Dimmu Borguir (sp) in your list.

Crandle of Filth is pretty good, i just haven't really heard much of there stuff, thats why. But my sister dated a guy that have like a 15K dollar drumset, he could hear a song once and then you replay it and he has perfect timing and rocks, any music. Slip Knot is slow for this kid. But he got me into some of the lesser known bands.

but i also like slipknot, hatebreed, ill nino, rammstein, shadows fall, and disturbed. i used to like korn before they became a bunch of weenies. like, after the first album.

I was really into death/black metal in highschool... I still love it, but I cling to my old favorites.

OLD Fear Factory (Fear is the Mindkiller and Soul of a New Machine, mainly. Demanufacture was good, but it went down from there. Too electronic, and Burton lost the good voice.)

Quite honestly, I've never heard of any member of the bands I listed getting any publicity for possession or abuse of any sort of drug. Not a single mention of any of it in their music, either.

Yeah, it's funny... metal and hard rock have gotten such bad reputations. The 'hair metal" bands like Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, etc... now THOSE are the heavy drug bands. Those guys were nuts with it.

Now, if you said something about worshipping Satan... THEN you'd be onto something! I'm not into that stuff though... I like the music, but I can look beyond the words. It's like watching a vampire movie or something to me. I don't care to share in the feelings, but it paints a really cool dark picture when you look at it more like a story. Nobody ever understands me on that!
