    a few wagon questions...

Well...I will be buying another Honda this comming spring...so I figured I'd ask a few questions and get some direction going.

    For the CB9's...

    How rare were they?

    How rare were 5 speeds?

For the rear seat, can you use ANY Honda wagon rear seat with the 50/50 split design or can you only use the Accord one? I want to use one from an 88-91 Civic Si hatchback with the stripeys...lol.

When you buy, let's say, an exhaust. A cat-back. Do you get one for a sedan, generically, or are there wagon specific ones?

Cosmetically...is everything from the back doors up the same as a sedan? Like to swap panels and the like?

Are the specs for the engine and options the same as the coupe/sedan for the wagon?

How much heavier is a wagon? Wagon to Coupe. Wagon to Sedan. I know my 93 EX was right at 3 grand even almost. Like 2995 pounds.

If I think of anything else I'll post...

    + '93 Accord EX - CB7 - Frost White w/ Dark Blue = teh s0ld (ilikebigbutts)

    2006 Cobalt SS - 2004 Monte Carlo SS - 1990 CRX Si

i know this doesnt answer any of your questions but i think that jason, 93accordEX is selling a wagon 5 speed. just a heads up.. very clean car from what i saw on his imagestation.

not sure how rare, not sure how rare 5 speeds were.

prolly accord would be your best bet, but you can sure try out the civc seats but im sure they wont BOLT IN without a little imagination.

When you buy, let's say, an exhaust. A cat-back. Do you get one for a sedan, generically, or are there wagon specific ones?

there isnt even a difference for coupes and sedans.. i would think that the wagons bolt right up

Cosmetically...is everything from the back doors up the same as a sedan? Like to swap panels and the like?

from what i just found out is that the front bumper is different. the nose is longer, the bumper lights are longer (on 90-91s i believe) and there might be more..but im no wag expert

Are the specs for the engine and options the same as the coupe/sedan for the wagon?

actually i hear that the wags might be different tranny wise? cause i think due to the added weight the car actually has more power, hence the 140 MPH gauge cluster..

How much heavier is a wagon? Wagon to Coupe. Wagon to Sedan. I know my 93 EX was right at 3 grand even almost. Like 2995 pounds.

dont know. depends on trim level im sure it weighs a bit more than a sedan and even more compared to a coupe. i know that my accord with a full tank of gas, no spare, no trunk lining or tools was 2920 this past week.

If I think of anything else I'll post...
okay now from reading your thread.

not sure how rare, not sure how rare 5 speeds were.

i think you might be right about the tranny clark . . . some random guy i was talkin to about his wag told me it had a heavy duty transmission in it . . . i always thought he was crazy . . . maybe we can get some wag person to check thier tranny code for us

        check out: www.accordwagonclub.com

rare compaired to the cb7, it will take some looking esp. to find a stick, most are auto.. their around if you look for them, but blend in with all the other 90-93s.
most ppl dont want to get rid of them once they get one, adds some challange to finding a cb9

the rear seat is a 60/40 split, top & bottom.. w/ removable headrests(same as f.seats). the bottom folds forward, then you fold down the back.
you can use a cb7 back(top), but it doesnt fit right. the wag doesnt have the seperate side pieces for the top of the back seat. its built into the seat.

the exhaust is the same until it comes out of the muffler, wag comes out more to the right.

91 wag (first year made) has driver air bag-not auto seatbelts like 90-91 cb7
        non abs
bumper lights are longer, think sides lenth too, but can do sedan swap. the rear has a cutout for the hatch to clear, offset exhaust.wag only
        diff carpet
        wiper switch for rear wiper
no trunk release on floor, has handle on hatch
        diff taillights
        panels-dash ect are the same

        motor- f22a6
tran. mpt985, think thats the right # off the barcode sticker. my 91ex has sport mode

91ex - gvwr 4235 total weight w/ load. says you can carry up to 950 lbs. in weight to meet gvwr. doing the math, it should weight close to 3285 lbs. stock

fold down the rear seat and its like a mini truck w/a walkthrough.
wagons- until you own one you proubly wouldnt understand!!!!

        hope this helps,

        91 ex 1badwag
91 lx wag (aka the beater)
        92 ex 4-door
