    for you canadians..

i'm trying to get an estimate on fedex.com for something i'm shipping to a guy.. how do i enter a postal code for canada?

i'm at fedex.com and trying to get a quote from my parents house in ohio, to montreal canada.. but it keeps bitching say i entered the zip or what ever wrong.

any help is appreciated and needed.

instead of a zip code, canada has postal codes so it will be like H5B1E5 instead of 68138

there should be an option to choose the country you are shipping to...make sure you choose canada then enter postal code

correct you need to use canada's format for a zipcode.. for example one part of montreal is H3C 3J7

Funny how Canadians seem to know more about the US than Americans know about Canada...

If you watch how the postal codes are set up, the A's and B's are all in the east, and the further West you go the further down the alphabet the numbers get. Ex: ON:L SK:S AB:T BC:V YT:X.

I like the Canadian postal code system better than the US Zip Code system. It narrows it down a little further than the zip code system. I guess thats why the USPS had to add the +four at the end, as they were running out of zip codes and that they were too vague and each one covered too large of an area.
