what happened on my dad's ericcson T610 was that the charger wasnt* hooking up correctly so the battery could have been plugged in but wouldnt charge because of the cable going from the charger stand to the wall plug.

Lithium ion batteries dont last forever. They are still good for a couple thousand charges. Time for a new one though.

Can you use the phone with it still pluged in?

I think if u got warranty on the fone still they will replace the battery. I called cingular many times to replace a fone....they just send me a refurbished fone. And you dont need insurance or anything just call the company and tell them.

lucky you, cingular wont even insure my phone.

anyways, what model do you have? being the ebay whore i am, i could locate a battery in a minute... maybe less. and it would definetly be cheaper than buying retail.

You could always clean the battery connection with rubbing alcohol and that sometimes makes it better gunk builds up there and can ruin the connection.

My phone is already doing the same thing...

Something I learned is that with batteries you have to let them die all the way before charging them. I used to plug my old cell phone in everynight and then the battery ceased to work for more than a day. You do need a new one, and when you get it, I suggest trying the full drain and recharge thing out and seeing how it works for you.

its a nokia 3 series something. It only came in bright blue and its about the size of a pack of cigs. It died just after the warrenty ran out..go figure.
It doesn't turn on no matter what. Going to try a new battery i guess

thats what you do with anything that needs to be charged, it insures battery life.
