Yeah im gonna have to agree with everything uncle_el said. My aunt is a nurse and from what she told me you just don't jump into these kind's of things, it takes alot of studying, alot of exams, and it is hard. No matter what your job is as a nurse you have to know everything that every other nurse knows ,cause when some serious shit goes down they want to know that you know wtf is going on. People who want to become nurses are not usually in it to get jdm front end conversions and 5 lug swaps, if that is your motivation then I would encourage you to turn around and take a different path, there are easier ways to make good money. People get into Nursing because they want to help people, and that helping people usually becomes their whole life. I could be wrong though, I don't know you as a person. I am just going off your post and all you talked about was only having to do this amount of work, how good the pay was, and how much car stuff you could get.

i myself have been working in the medical field for quite some time now. first starting out as a medical clerk, currently a physical therapy asst., and soon to be a physical therapist after i take the NPTE(national physical therapy examination). my decision was based on several reasons:
- a job in the medical field can lead to financial security
- influence of family members who work as nurses, doctors, physician asst., lab chemists, dieticians
- and did i mention the $$$ flow
entering the medical field in general, you must realize that providing the highest standard of care, well being and safety of patients is the highest priority when involved in this line of work.5.6L V8 32V DOHC

Anything that requires "passing the board" (that isn't related to carpentry ) is going to take some work!
It's definitely something you have to be passionate about. I'm going into the mental health field, and I KNOW I can't handle working with addictions or disabilities. I'm going into marriage and family counseling. Nursing, like any other medical field, has MANY different branches. Look deeper into it, and you may find some area that really appeals to you. Don't let the promise of good money be the only thing to sway your decision though... It's good money, but only if you enjoy it. It won't be worth it if you burn out or hate going to work every dya.

the medical field is not the way to go if you just want some money. it's too involved, too much work, too much pressure, too much responsiblity to just try and get paid. trust me. there are plenty of other ways that you can make plenty of money, but not have people's lives in your hands, because at the end of the day, that's what it's about, not you, it's about them.
this is something that you have to know that you know (yes, i repeated myself) that you want it. many days you'll feel unappreciated by your patients and/or by your staff; many nights you'll come home late and dead tired, only to have to get up in 6 hours to do it all again; overnight shifts; 36 hour shifts; patients vomiting on you; patients dying, etc. etc. etc.
you have to know that you want it. as bracersi said, if you want this for a jdm front end conversion, there are a lot of other fields that can get you that money without the hassle, work, and heartache.
absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
