So who saw the movie today? In my opinion it was an awesome ass movie!

My boys, a few girls, and my self went out drinking before the movie then went and saw it. They just added a new movie theature where they knocked down an old one, so we all got free drinks and popcorn and stuff. Awesome.

As for the movie, the effects are fucking amazing! It really amazes me how they can add such good and realistic effects to a movie.

That Dakota Fanning girl (10 years old?) does a spectacular job acting. She's going to make it good in the future.. awesome job for her. Tom Cruise also does a good job in this movie, as well as his previous movies.

This movie is well worth the money to go see.. one of the movies you take a girl too because of the loud sound effects and unexpected things that will happen.

Note to self, I saw three CB7's in the movie. At the beginning you can see the trunk lid of a 92/93 sedan.. and when everything electric dies; you see two of them next to eachother. They are both 92/93s in the front, and some guys push the car to try to start it. Keep your eye out for that.

EDIT: It rains in the movie, and it was raining so hard outside here that everyone in the theature thought it was the movie, and not real life rain.

Lets just say this, every road is flooded here. The movie place is about 5 min away from my place, took me 27 minutes to get home.. thats how flooded the streets are. It felt like I was going to hydrolock my H22 with a SHORT RAM.. how odd? A little bit got in and bogged down and it ran funny.. oh well. I had to pull off for a few minutes while the water went down a bit.. we're getting blasted by a huge storm. I have never seen it rain so hard before and seen so much water flooding the streets. Thankfully my apartment is on the 2nd flood, but my car is being owned by the water leak right now, haha.

dakota fanning is the shit....i saw here in man on fire......the denzel movie were he has to be her body guard, and damn could she act. for such a young girl she is good. she'll be the next "big thing" in hollywood.

just one question about the movie.

what exactly killed all the aliens or whatever? is it human cells or something? i guess when they had the human blood, it killed them? i was a little drunk, but still enjoyed the movie completely.

lol, what killed them was the fact they were germaphobes!..... kinda like the common cold, we as humans had built up a resistance to germs over thousands of years. And like Morgan Freman said "They were doomed the minute they got here"

on a side note: WTF was up with that Tri-pod? It looked like a giant anus sucking people into it.....I saw that and was like WTF?

Dakota Fanning was good in the movie with Robert Deniro too, I forget the name. She is the only reason I would watch that movie, just another "big star" ruining a classic.

I can remember listening to the old broadcast on late night radio in Chicago, it was the shit.

ya, just the bacteria that floats around in the air,water,etc. every day killed them (they weren't ammune to it as we have become)... its like us going to a nuclear plant and sleeping in radioactive waste... we'd definatly die, but there are somethings that it would not affect

probably got the inside of your dizzy wet a lil bit. may want to check the inside of it for moisture and blow any out, and clean the points,and also apply dielectric grease to the points and plug boots to keep any moisture from harming the electrical componants. becuase with a short ram u dont... i repeat DONT hydrolock an engine...and "almost" doesnt count.....glad u changed your post to "felt like".......(?) and if you dont have any fender liner....i hope u do...but if you dont you better get some if your gonna be travercing through storms. just my 2 cents....and rebels please dont keep deleting my posts i am just trying to help ya out. this is my 3rd one just leave it.....whats so wrong about it?

I havent seen it but a rock station was playing the original Orsen Wells novel that played way back on the radio in 1939...it was really interesting to actually listen too..captivates the imagination.

91accord4door, because its no big deal and its not relating to the movie. i explained how hard it was raining, and i've hydrolocked a motor before so i know how the motor runs when it sucks water up in it. yes, i do have my fender lining in.. so if you feel like wasting time.. then check out pictures of tampa last night and how flooded the streets were. i'm suprised my bumper stayed on completely.

ya i saw it last night, as soon as i saw the cb7 i leaned over to my girlfriend and got all excited "look its my car!!" she wasn't as enthusiastic as i was about the cb7.

i don't get what those red vine things were growing everywhere, at first i just thought it was peoples guts, but then i saw them growing down into that guys basement, what was that exactly? they should of made it easier to understand why the aliens died, i didn't really understand that until now.

seen it last night too, hydroplaned all the way home and then some....when i seen the accords i busted out a CB7 hoorah!!!!...

but it was an OK movie..id give it 6 out 10 for the special effects.
