    Some music I've done...

I was just going through my hard drive, and I came across some stuff I've done. I just thought I would post it here, for whatever reason... Some of you might like it! The recordings on the first two are terrible, done in a garage. The last 2 are things that I did myself on my computer. (the final one is a studio recording that I added later...)

I'm hosting these on my Geocities site (the one for my car, like an idiot...) The bandwidth will probably get used up quickly, so the links may be dead temporarily.

Here they are: (the links weren't working for me, so I put a space after http on each. Just cut and paste, and then remove the space... Sorry for the inconvenience!)

Here's a link to a page with them all on it... It'll be a little easier! (at least till the bandwidth is exceeded) Damn Geocities!

    I'm Listening
    http ://www.geocities.com/accordproject/Im_Listening.mp3
That one is from the most successful band I've been in so far, (one time only). I played bass. That song is a terrible recording from our first CD. The better studio recordings were lost when MP3.com shut down. I have to get the original CD back from the singer of the next band...

    Some Other Time
    http ://www.geocities.com/accordproject/SomeOtherTime.mp3
This one is from The Jeff Lyons Band. Surprisingly enough, I demanded that the band be called that. Jeff wanted something else! He's the singer and guitarist, and I played bass again. That's all we ever did before Jeff quit. I'm still playing with the drummer (who doubles on guitar.) I sing now.

    Afterglow

    Foul Divinity
    http ://www.geocities.com/accordproject/Foul_Divinity.mp3
These are from my solo project, Six Chamber, All Standing. I had hoped to create some kind of artsy-fartsy pseudo-German stupidly snobbish minimalist techno thing... I actually had fun doing it though, and I like what I did!

    Thresholds to Adult Living
    http ://www.geocities.com/deevergote/Thresholds.mp3
This is another (one time only) song. This time, we recorded in a studio. I sing backup, and I still play bass. It's a cover of an Atom and His Package song. We just tacked it on at the end of the recording session, and it turned out really well. This was the most popular song we played... It's a shame that we didn't write it!

I have yet to get some of my newer stuff recorded. I'm working on a punk project with my current "band" (just me and my guitarist/drummer at the moment... I play guitar when he drums, and bass when he plays guitar... and I can't come up with good lyrics...)

I'm also supposed to get together with my friend Nexus who's one hell of a rapper. If the two of us could find some time, I want to lay down a few basslines for him. I might even try writing a few beats, if I can fire up the old sequencer program again!

I'm not really trying to toot my own horn or anything... I just thought it would be interesting to share my stuff with you guys, and see what you think!

If anyone else has recorded anything, I'd be really interested in hearing it!

Wow, my site is overloaded already! I actually found one of the studio ones. I'll upload it to another site and add the link.

Thanks for checking em out (and liking em!)

Yeah, that would be great if you wouldn't mind! They're available only once every hour or so this way (probably more, as long as I'm not uploading anything big.) Did you download, or just open from the site?

No problem, I'll try and crack open a mutual ftp site tommorow after work since I don't have it running as a service yet.

When I got them I downloaded them and played locally.

here's a song by a band that i used to be in.
now, the song is kinda cheasy, but it was written when we were 15 years old. it was recorded when we were 17.
              i play drums.

the band has long since disbanded, but it was fun while it lasted.

              band - Darwin Park
              song - Reunion

the funny thing is, you used to be able to find our songs on Napster, but they were labeled as old or unrealeased Mathew Good Band songs. somehow they got onto napster, and someone thought we sounded like Mathew Good Band, so they renamed them. (for those of you in the US who may never have heard of Mathew Good Band, the are a Canadian rock/alternative band, and they were huge here a couple years ago.)

Very nice... I like that! The recording sounds pretty good too. It bugged me that when my band got professional recording done, the songs we did weren't my favorite... We have no recordings of my favorite songs...

That is one terrible mix! I like it though. I'll have to keep an eye on them for when they get their stuff remixed and everything!
