    DIY channel

    At 7pm tonight, channel 230 (Direct TV) is doing a headlight and tailight conversion on a 1991 Accord.

      Uh, the menu thingy says HID for the fronts and LED for the rears.

        eh...i thought it was going to be something big...i already have hid's in the front...led's in the rear would be alright i guess

          i don't get that channel, i would have to pay for it. kinda defeats the purpose of diy, don't ya' think?

            True, anyways all the info from the show is at http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_..._17836,00.html

            That accord was highly modified, although it didn't have an H22. It was cool except it had really big ugly fog lights.
            The cost of that HID kit was pretty steep. But the LED's were like 10 bucks each and all you have to do is replace the existing bulbs with em. The advantage, they said, was that they come on a lot quicker than stock bulbs.
            I guess I'll pass.

              they said the total cost of the bulbs was $60.

              the hid kit was pretty much the going price at $450.

                it will be on again at 1am, I have direct tv but i dont think i get the DIY channel (unless its free of course)

                  it's not a part of the total choice (basic) package (41.99/mo). it's a part of the total choice plus (45.99/mo), and total choice premier packages (93.99/mo).
